Would the firm reimburse me for the CFA exam?

Generally PwC will reimburse for the cost of a professional certification (the first time it's taken only - not subsequent times if failed) if it is directly relevant to your LOS, but they will not reimburse for any study materials. Unless you are in a specialty group, I think CFA would be a hard sell.

Hmm. I don't see why not. Just don't expect a bonus.

What's your service line OP?

I'm in FS so it's somewhat relevant but I just couldn't find anything on kcurve about the CFA reimbursements....

My career coach said it would basically come down to your partner or someone being on board

I wouldn't bother. It's going to make you look indecisive and uninformed. The CFA is for if you want to work in securities analysis, not accounting.

The expense policy under link index has talked about CFA I think

What's the most effective way for a small RIA to recruit FAs who have a few years experience, want to break away from large/corporate firms? I'm a $70M fee-only (commissions for insurance) independent RIA with a generous comp schedule that enables FAs to own their own book while they grow. As the owner, my focus is to help FAs succeed; as a firm, our focus is on client service and helping them succeed. I can afford a small salary, but not benefits. I'm especially interested in female FAs.

I’ve been in the industry for 23+ years, 16+ of those spent as a Producing Branch Manager. I hold S7, S63, S66, S24 and I’ve completed the education for the CFP (need to pass the exam). I excel in relationship building and providing exceptional service. I’ve only been on the full-service side for the past 2 years and my book of managed money is about $10M, with another $10M+ being self-directed by clients. I’d love to find an RIA job, what type of role would be suggested?
