Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! How’s the culture at MasterCard (tech roles rather than advisory/consulting roles) compared to big tech and/or big4 consulting? Would it be a good exit from consulting?
I’m trying to make the jump from agency > platform (not FB…more like Spotify or Twitter etc.). I work with reps at these places as part of my job, but technically their loyalty is to my clients (the ones spending $ on their platform), not to me, working at the client’s creative agency. So it feels weird asking them for a recommendation or referral, but that would obviously be easier than applying on the jobs site... How do I utilize my “network” without making things awkward?
How’s Protiviti? I just had an interview for a IAFA manager role and it sounded pretty interesting. How’s culture, WLB, technology, offices, etc.?
Has anyone made a successful transfer from the EM/EL position at MBB to a VP at BB ibank, or vice versa? I know the skillsets are different but wouldn’t they even out at the project management level?
Does Healthcare companies like Anthem, Humana or United Health pay more than 160+ in their Technology group? Experienced on Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud Native world and Google Cloud certified..
SA level; still in Flux but would love additional perspective. Pretty open on where I'd want to be long term. Unsure what exit I'd shoot for if any. I like the idea of EBITDA impact vs PMO and being compensated should I be able to add a tail - my backgrounds tech though so I find myself doing IT centric work regardless of interest. I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
USDC, seeing a lot of new hires coming in with the "Associate Engineer" title. Any one know what that is? I dont see any talent model with that title/role.
What do you consider when starting over in a new school, new position and new state? What would help you make that final decision? Jersey to Florida, Bilingual Teacher to 1st Grade classroom teacher
Is Salesforce interviewing everyone in the world? Building quite a professional war chest, by spending quite the war chest. My hunch is that the bullish hiring, will be followed by a bearish layoff season.

Currently working as a Relationship Banker. Haven’t had no complaints with how Chase has handled the pandemic from the consumer banking side. Recently I was asked if I was interested in a Financial solutions advisor role at Bank of America. Things have slowly began to pick up at our branch and while I would like to continue my career at Chase. The bump in base salary increases as well as the earning potential. Any advice on how to make a decision? Things to consider besides pay?
I’ve been getting recruiter emails from Reference Point for some time now for a manager role. Anybody have insights into the salary bands for managers there?
Currently an M2 in consulting with 8YOE (no MBA). If I am looking to interview for a role at Amazon for a Senior Program Manager, would that be an L6 or L7 role? Trying to gauge the total comp I should be stating to the recruiter.
For my 401k I have a section that shows Roth contributions and earnings. I have a different section that is labeled “nontaxable balances” and just shows Roth contributions. The Roth contributions number is smaller than the Roth contributions and earnings (which is expected since my contributions have grown). But why aren’t my Roth contributions AND earnings showing in the nontaxable balances section?

Can you move firms to get a promotion or you need to already be in the position? I have been passed over for manager. I'm not a cpa but a jd and have been told this is an issue.I'm not an accountant so my business tax prep skills are a sub par but ok, my reviews say I excel well beyond others in getting the tax law correct and well argued when taking positions on IRS issues & complicated tax law questions and am sought out to do it. Why do I have to be a jack of all trades? Can't I specialize?
We are expecting a baby soon and would like to start financial planning for her. We thought it would be fun to have separate buckets for different life events like college, travel, car, wedding. Contd
Looking 2 move into industry but most stats on this forum are 4 USD. Directors/partners in the US make 300K-1M - ones here probably make 200K-500K. What salary range is good for senior industry roles.
Would working at Facebook hurt your chances as of now in trying to exit to other companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc? Am curious before looking to jump into Facebook

Hi All! I have a valid & stamped H1 until Mar'22. Planning a vacation to home country (India) in Nov/Dec as I don't have to worry about getting it stamped. My employer would probably file for extension sometime in Nov. I guess I'm still ok to return to the US on my current Visa/797? There's a chance the extension might get approved during my stay there & I might not get that new 797 mailed to me. Can that create an issue in immigration if I just show the current stamp/797? TIA!!!

Dumb question but humor me, I’m not familiar with financial services - is working in advisory at the big 4 as coveted/prestigious out of college as working as a financial analyst at a big IB like Morgan Stanley? Peoples backgrounds and salary seem extremely similar.
Any recommendations for standing desk converter? My company will be working from home for a while. Preferable budget is probably around $350
Hey, I have applied to a job at EY for Risk assurance. My academics are pretty good and I'm pursuing ACCA with BCom, with a year of internship experience as well. I have tried to apply but I think a referral would really help. Please dm me for referrals. Would be happy to speak on linkedin as well and send my job ID as well.

In your opinion, how important is it to be perceived as always being online (available on teams or Skype)? Asking because I’ve noticed people commenting on a certain associate always being online at odd hours.
Anyone work in a visualization role at T2? Is it true you are mainly just a supporting role for other consultants and treated as such?
