My salary is 92,000 paid bi-weekly, and paycheck deductions amount to 31.7%. 6% is 401k and about 1.4% is medical/dental/vision leaving 24.3% tax rate between state (NJ) and federal. Does this sound right or too high? I don’t claim any exemptions on my w4
Thoughts on working at Spotify in Product? Heard culture and WLB is great but growth and comp is lacking. Is Product at Spotify also well respected in the tech?

Hello, I have been through two rounds of interviews at Deloitte UK and it seems like I will get an offer. I wanted to know what's the general salary range for a SC role at Deloitte UK. Joining as an Enterprise Architect with 13 years of IT experience. 5+ yrs relevant.
SO was contacted by a recruiter for a research analyst position at a top PE. He’s currently in consulting, doing lots of M&A dd work. The recruiter said the position pays on par with their associates, ~250k. He’s also been contacted by recruiters for smaller PEs associate roles. He’s inclined to try the former, but wanted some advice on whether this is a good route to take. Looking forward to your suggestions, thanks in advance!!
How do you politely ask a new company if you’ll be getting a laptop to wfh? If I’m not getting one I will have to buy a new personal computer.
Can anyone share Salesforce salary numbers in Houston. Solution Engineer or Customer Success?
Companies trying to force people back to office = record company execs thinking you can get people to buy whole CDs in an era of streaming individual songs. Times have changed. Deal with the reality.
Husband Relies on Me for Lunch - I know this is dumb, but before the pandemic, my husband ate lunch at the office and I was generally in charge of dinner. He’s super flexible with buying takeout so I never found it annoying. Since the pandemic began though, my husband has begun relying on me to provide him lunch while WFH. I’m busy during the day, and we have different lunch preference schedules. He does not get how annoying it is to me to have to be in charge of his lunch. Am I in the wrong?

How are MBB maternity/paternity leave?
Does asking or receiving high package(100%hike from current CTC but within mid band range in Deloitte) for Manager position also mean, we would be utilized more then 100% and shared between projects and basically fu**ed up WLB and drowned in work..?
I feel for the jr’s who have started their careers in this remote world, missing out on all the experience that comes with being in an office surrounded by people and creative work instead of the silo of WFH. Any suggestions on how to keep them engaged and learning without it feeling forced with zoom tutorial sessions?
Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%
Hi all, Atlassian is hiring across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Strategy & Biz Ops and other roles. The company has a great culture and values employee well-being a lot. Almost all roles are remote, even if there is a location attached to them. The internal policy is team anywhere aka remote-first within a country/region. Check out the career page below for more details. Happy to put in a referral for you if there is a fit.
So a company I interviewed with took me to the final round but rejected me for an architect role. Then, two months later the hiring manager hits me up for a manager role he thought I would be a good fit before the job was posted. We had a call and he said he thought I would be a long shot replying back to him. Also, he said everyone liked me and no need to interview. He said he has to post it and let HR do their thing before he can make a final decision. Why post a job if you want me for it?
I’m a first year and fucked up big time. The client doesn’t know about this but a senior associate was furious. I know it’s 100% my fault but no one above me actually reviewed my work bc everyone was so busy. But then I found out the senior gave a rant about how I fucked up to another colleague. When I apologized to him, he was really salty. Since then, my heart drops every time I see his email bc I’m too scared. He is usually pretty emotional and his instructions are vague, which doesn’t help.
Are you guys enjoying this mandatory work from home? Or you are so bored and ready to go back to office?
If I have a salary of $220k, and I want to rent a place of $3500 per month, is it likely that I will get the apartment? Is it a usual ratio?
How long after the technical interview does Accenture take to give you the interview results. It's been a week I haven't heard back from them.
One teacher is actively trying to get another teacher fired. She’s gone to the principal, higher up, w/all sorts of unfounded complaints. Is there anything that can be done? Legally? HR? Union?
Any campus recruiters / recruiters out there that came from accounting? I’m so bored and would love to know what the salary range is like and whether I can afford the switch. Thanks! HCOL city - DC
Hiring @Trianz for mentioned positions. Please message me with the Role name and I will share the detailed job description. Thank you.
So I know layoffs suck. I’ve been laid off twice in 2 years (and I’m actually pretty good at my job.) But I just want to say, that each time my next gig has netted me a 20%+ salary increase. So jokes on them! I start my new job next week, so we shall see! Good luck to all of you who are starting over! You will succeed and know your worth!
Looking at IT Risk Advisory role at RSM. What is the feedback for the company and their Texas office culture?
Had a serious post partum emotions discussion with my husband yesterday and cried a ton, being honest with how I was feeling. Wasn't sure if being honest and vulnerable was going to make a big change, but this morning he was the sweetest and I'm so glad I did 😊 he changed the baby's diaper and was super positive and helpful with our 3 year old! Having coffee now and so grateful
I wonder if it's a case of the Mondays on the bench or if my motivation will just never return...🤔
Has anyone applied for or worked in S&O roles at Instacart? How is the process like? What would you say about the workplace culture?
Admittedly a broad question, but is anyone willing to share their experiences working with/for Olive (The healthcare AI workforce firm)? If anyone here works(ed) there, how is the day to day as compared to Big 4?
Hi guys, I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do? I don't like working here at all, but I am not sure whether moving out again in a month will give bad Impression on my resume. Hence please give me advice on this situation
Wow, LAX. 30 mins for an uber. Taxi line across the terminal. Guess I'll be hanging out here for a while... at least the weather is beautiful!
Based on your client experience or otherwise, what is the one job/industry you think is best to work and retired? Main variables are salary, job security, wlb and overall interest?
Advice from PwC fish needed.. I posted a week ago about an offer for an A1 “experienced associate” from PwC -team is digital assurance transparency. Even tho I thought that sounded off, I ended up accepting. My letter just said Associate @ 68k base. Now I have access to People Path & my job level says A2. So is PwC on a cohort model, or not? Is there anything I can do here? I pushed back hard on the A1 vs A2 thing b4 signing and the recruiter was adamant I would be an A1
