The Tumi Alpha bags are excellent. (And practically indestructible!)
Briggs and Riley is great!! Terrific brand. Go for it!
Not at all. Everyone walks in with something
You’ll probably get one for free. Roll with that for a while.
Welcome aboard!
I'd stick with the free bag for a while and save some money. I'd go with a backpack, the bag the firm gives you can be used either way.
I'd wear a button down shirt and dress slacks if a guy, with a sport coat of you like. For a woman, slacks or skirt and a blouse with sleeves. Most of our buildings are warm for me, an old guy, so I don't wear a jacket, even when I'm an MD doing a section of the training.
They gave me one with my laptop when I started 9 years ago. Still using the same free bag the firm gives every new hire.
Whatever you carry, enjoy your start, ask questions and find a good mentor
Congratulations on your start!!
Can’t say I blame him
I started with one but have moved to a backpack, which I find easier to travel with. backpacks are pretty common now, even with our partners.
it's really personal preference, but I prefer Tumi for bags/backpacks and B&R for suitcases/duffels.
my first day is Wednesday as well - where is your orientation?
All the best!
