Nothing would make me accept or apply for a non-remote role at this point honestly, especially as someone with ADHD and anxiety.
At this point in my career, I doubt I could accept anything that was not remote. I live in a very low cost of living area and I couldn’t match comp if I were to take a local role.
I know my initial wasn’t to the point of the post, but it does illustrate how you may be missing out on talent not local to your area if you do not open to the possibility of remote work.
If the comp were more than double my current package, I would consider a hybrid role. I will never work a job again that doesn't offer at least some WFH flexibility. I don't want to work for a company that doesn't trust its people, and insisting I can only work in an office is a great way to prove you don't trust me.
Fully remote only. Companies need to be competitive with other companies on flexibility with work/life balance. I shouldn’t take a pay-cut either for the same duties expected of me just because I’m remote.
Companies that offer remote roles gain an extra vote of confidence toward their success and culture as a business. When we look at the benefits of remote/ hybrid work to employees we can already clearly see the ways it supports employees, which is our job in HR in the first place. I’d want to work for companies that understand that or are open to transitioning to that type model. Our technology advancements and opportunities that would support remote working are too far along to discount or ignore.
Otherwise I’d agree that compensation would have to near be doubled in order to be as competitive. And I feel it’s less likely I’d be entering a company that has good internal pay structure/ job leveling if all they try to do is buy new talent. Just think I’d rather pass on accepting a job that would immediately give me a mess (especially one I’ll be seen as being apart of).
Only if it offered me a substantial (doubling my total comp) increase in pay and title (director level).
If not at least somewhat flexible I would not accept.
I wouldn’t consider a role now that didn’t offer hybrid working
For me it has to be remote.
Fully Remote only
Fully remote preferred, would consider hybrid if I felt a strong connection with culture, mission and leaders and could see the value of hybrid for that particular org
I’ve been working fully remote since mid 2018 so I wouldn’t accept anything but remote at this point.
