Would you buy a house with 3 friends for the cheaper monthly payment in a city with growing population 5 years running (medium metro)? 1 or 2 years time together. I’m a 24 yr old A2 with senior promo in July.

Big no.

Even less. Just rent with them. Makes your living cost cheaper with much less risk.

Keep in mind you're asking a bunch of accountants, which are normally very risk averse, if they would make a large transaction and bring in more variables that can make the situation a lot more tricky over time.

Good point, I’m less risk averse than most in audit profession

Buy a house with three friends!? Geez that’s asking for trouble and a big falling out. I say definitely rent for the reasons listed above

I know a couple guys that did this and they regretted it shortly after. At that age a lot of people experience job changes and life changes, meet somebody, etc. I would strongly caution against it unless you were to approach it with the mindset of “could I do this on my own as if I signed everything and ponied up the cash myself, and treat the others like tenants paying me monthly reimbursement on the mortgage etc. and should they suddenly all become unemployed or move out at the same time that I could still do this by myself” if the answer to that is yes, then I’d say go for it. If you don’t know where you’ll be in 5 years or you’re thinking you can somehow get out of it easily if your situation changes, I’d say it’s not right for you.

It’s not the buy in, that’s just the downpayment. You will still be on the hook for the mortgage...

Woof. No.

Just curious, do you guys ever feel weird wearing designer items to the office? Such as expensive loafers and belts? My company is already pretty lax about the dress code.

I’m losing all hope. I’ve been actively applying and interviewing for 8 months now. 3 final round interviews that I was turned away from. Now I’m running out of companies to apply for / people to refer me etc. I seriously don’t know what to do. Is it possible I am just stuck for a while now? I don’t like my industry so the hope of a recruiter reaching out based off my current work experience is worthless because I’m trying to slightly pivot to and ops type role at a start up. HELP

Hey eveyone, what are things I can do to increase my odds of getting hired Google (Internship)? 2 weeks back I applied for the Business Internship for 2022. But after I sent the questions no reply, it's been almost a week. My Resume and LinkedIn is massively improved, thinking what else can I do?
