Some of those YouTube gigs turn out to be pretty lucrative 🤷🏻♀️ especially if he already has a decent following. But I understand the unpredictability aspect you’re worried about. I think I’d still give it a shot though. Especially if you’re already gelling with him!
There is nothing wrong with making a living like that and I do understand being concerned about the unpredictability in the future but it doesn’t mean they’re doomed - they can pivot to something else. Success looks different in 2022.

Hell yeah I would!
Go for it PwC

It totally depends on the type of person they are and the drive they have. Most YouTubers have that business drive to put the effort in and do what they need to grow. If they have that trait, I’d trust they’d figure something else out if the YouTube thing went to shit. But ask them too, if you’re getting more serious, what they would do if YouTube stopped producing an income.
My mother married someone like that who chased after his dreams with no other backup plan. I ended up with a single mother who was never home because she always had to work. My father never made an effort to spend time with his own kids and had no money to pay for child support.
If you're going to pursue this relationship, just make sure you understand the severity of the impacts it can have in your future, not just to yourself, but other you might inadvertantly drag along in your decisions.
Personally no because I have a friend who is a streamer and see how much freaking work it is, and at weird hours. My friend streams but also posts edited YouTube videos. Our schedules don’t match up well as either I’m always working, or they are up at all hours streaming/filming/editing. Totally respect the hustle and I adore my friend, but I don’t know how I could sustain a romantic relationship with our schedules.
Can’t be worse than dating someone with a busy season…….
If it’s just dating, I will date with that person.

Interesting. I’d date them but would definitely be trying to figure out what their plan and back up plan is.
Do you realize how lucrative 150k followers could be. Most likely between subscription, donations, and adsense they make more than you do.
Yes, the YouTuber might not be streaming in 30yrs but OP will probably not be working at their current position either. A million things can happen over the course of that time. What OP should be considering is this is a highly motivated individual who has been able to capitalize on doing something they actually like to earn their income. The amount of motivation and dedication it takes to build that kind of following isn’t insignificant and could be transferred to another field if necessary in the future. What matters is if they enjoy the person and not about their hypothetical job security in 30yrs.
I dated a full time twitch streamer. They were small but had a team so they were also getting tournament money. The good thing about the relationship is that I knew he wasn’t cheating because he was always streaming lol. It’s absolutely not a stable job, they can get $5 a month or they can get $1000. Also they may be hesitant to take time off because they will lose viewership. We ended up breaking up because he never made time for other things since his fun time was video games and video games were work
I would worry abt your privacy, not sure if he’s one of those types that record his everyday living experiences.

Lol genz! How is the number of subscribers relevant to if you should date them?
