Been on the beach too long you're making up clients?

like

Then the firm should staff you on another project or pay for your travel

like

If that's what they're saying then might be time to switch firms OP

like

Never. Worst idea. But you could deduct your expenses on your taxes...

like

Never. What D1 said. Project should eat the travel expenses or find another one.

like

What! What practice are you in? I just had 3 rounds o interviewees come in today and we are flying people cross country for your project

like

Don't worry about utilization if your PML can vouch for you it doesn't matter. Definitely don't pay out of pocket that's bs. If client won't pay let them find someone else. Plenty of projects at the firm, someone will pick you up

like

Why would you?

like

Are you dumb?

like

Client won't pay for staff level to travel to NY since there's too many other professionals local to NY

like

Either that or risk not having a high enough utilization

like

Can't decide if this will either be the best of worst move of my career

like

No

like

Yeah that's the ultimate move have been applying for a few weeks now

like

Fuck no

like

Why would you even offer to do such a thing? I call bs on the EM/PPD that told you that. Try expense is typically built into the sow. Ask a contact to send you the sow

like

They claim there's literally no other work for me

*our

Or you can work remote #skypemeeting

No

Am I right in thinking that many attorneys often complicate disputes unnecessarily? Say, for instance, employment disputes. Client wants to get rid of an employee. Attorney reviews case and concludes that it’s dubious whether they have cause for termination. Often, the parties go into a long back and forth dispute that is often settled just before trial. The attorney should say "look, there’s a strong risk this won’t hold up in court, you must offer a good settlement. Let’s do it ASAP".

He asked me if I thought he was too much of a project and to be honest I didn’t think so. My last relationship my ex hated his job and I had to push him to apply for other ones cont

What does everyone think about the future of the audit (public) industry? I actually really like working on audit and doing client service but absolutely hate the business model. I wish it could be more equitable along the way rather than waiting for a pay day after you’ve worked you life away. I feel like younger generations are less willing to see benefit in this idea and it seems like fees are not keeping up with constant emphasis on growth.
