Is there Any WFH oppurtunity for BA
How do you deal with a partner you hate working with? All the other partners I work with are fine, but I hate working with one particular partner and I have alot of projects with the person. I worked with many partners at various firms, and this is the first time I am feeling that I can't stand working with a person. I'm thinking of either switching lines if possible just to avoid this person lol.

Hi, anyone willing to give a referral to Pinterest? I found a role that I think would be a great fit based on my background, and I’m looking for a little help to get my resume seen. Happy to provide any details or have a call so that you feel comfortable with providing a referral. Thanks a lot!

I’ve been following this thread closely. The debate seems to boil down to only a few arguments.
The vaccine is not safe or effective vs it passed clinical trials
We want things to return to normal.
Science.
You can’t make me do something I don’t want to do vs the vaccine protects other people (herd immunity.)
Though put through many trials and approved for use, there are still some valid questions about the vaccine’s safety or efficacy. Complications take time to develop, and for all the things we can fast track, time is not one of them. There are some reports that the vaccine’s benefits are short-lived. There are also reports that it doesn’t necessarily protect the individual, but only lessens the severity of the infection. I guess until we get it, we won’t really know. This is really a faith-based argument that doesn’t conclusively support either stance.
EVERYBODY wants things to return to normal (for us, that means kids back in the classroom.) We do not know if that will occur after everyone is vaccinated. In fairness, it appears normalcy will definitely NOT return if nobody gets the vaccine, so at least by getting it you are removing a hurdle. But my take is things will not return to normal for a while, as we wait to see the true effects of inoculation.
Science. You can find sound arguments for whatever you want to do. We pick and choose the narrative we lend credence to. “I will get it because I trust science” is as valid an argument as “I will not get it because I trust science.” My observation is that way more people trust science than understand science. I don’t think claiming science one way or the other is a particularly convincing argument.
The vaccine protects other people. This is the trump card for the pro-vaccine side. It is an argument for the good of the group at the expense of the good of the individual. “It doesn’t matter what your feelings are regarding the virus and its vaccine; if I am concerned you need to take measures to protect me.” (This was the same argument used to enforce mask-wearing.) It is contrary to the principles the nation was founded on, namely individual liberties. I see that issue as the primary divide in our nation right now, both socially and politically. I think there is a great deal going on beneath the surface with this argument, and the debate moves beyond discussion of the virus and into the area of the government’s fundamental role. This is a hot button, and no amount of data or logic will persuade if the ultimate action is contrary to an individual’s feelings in this area.

When you add to a post which has stayed alive that long it keeps a necessary conversation alive. Thank you.
I think these mandates are nothing but an abuse of power. Let me tell you something. I am a LINC teacher from Canada. For the past 2 years we have been working remotely, online. Then the management at the Agency where I work comes up with the COVID19 Vaccination policy. Among other things, it states that it would recognize OHRC (Ontario Human Rights Code) protected grounds, and medical and personal choice. Except that later on in the policy, it also states that unvaccinated people who aren't accommodated based on the above issues, will be disciplined, suspended, terminated, and advised not to even work online.
So, I am a Christian Orthodox, and I can't accept these vaccines as they are against my faith and beliefs. And I also have an autoimmune condition, which makes my body react strongly. I had Covid in January. My natural antibodies and spike protein levels are 30 times more than normal (according to the blood test, and indistinguishable from vaccine induced antibodies). My priest wrote a letter to the employer. My doctor wrote a letter to the employer confirming and explaining the blood test results and giving his recommendations.
And yet, I was still placed on a forced, unpaid, indefinite leave of absence, and I lost all my income, while the school is still taught online! According to them, I did not provide sufficient documentation to be accommodated based on Creed, and I am a public health threat by not being vaccinated! Faith doesn't matter, natural immunity doesn't matter, and even teaching online is unacceptable for the unvaccinated! And all this, while all restrictions are being lifted everywhere in Ontario. I can go to church, to gym, anywhere, unvaccinated, unmasked, and untested, but I am not allowed to earn a piece of bread, even working online, because I am not jabbed.
Does any of you think this is normal?
Or that this is logic?
Or that this has any medical basis?
Let's face it. There are plenty of employers like mine. I know it, because I have been trying to find work, and many schools and agencies have now the vaccine passport, which I clearly don't have, as a requirement for new hire.
This is getting ridiculous, and I don't know what people in the US are doing to stop this madness, but I am starting to consider leaving Canada for good, because I simply cannot make a living here anymore, and the abuses of power are simply obscene.
It’s complete tyranny; that’s all. Canada seems to be getting pretty scary with their autocracy. I can’t believe people aren’t rebelling. It’s not as bad as that here, only certain sectors, which is bad enough. We do have a party in charge destroying our economy, culture, and independence though, and it’s pretty terrifying. I feel like we’re in an Orwellian novel. I’m so sorry, friend. You should not suffer like that in a “free” country.
The fact that teachers who should be at the top of the educated and intelligent scale would think that vaccines are optional is more bd boggling to me. Learn science and support it.
You do you NJES2. Stay out of others business.
Not a chance will I take the vaccine, if it was mandatory, I'd leave.
Yes, it is.
I am nervous about the future of this country.

Nope. I do not believe it is safe. And i will fight if required
This is not accurate. The science behind the mRNA techniques are well known and researched. The biggest reason these vaccines haven't been more widely used is because of how unstable the vaccines created using mRNA were until recently. It is disturbing that teachers don't have the critical thinking and ability to research what this is to draw an informed conclusion.
Don’t just think about yourself. It’s bigger than you. Ask yourself this question- do I want to be responsible for a life dying of this disease that can be transmitted so easily and be okay with it? You refusing the vaccine is no different than you running around with no precautions in place and spreading it. Cmon our government wouldn’t put us in more harm than we are already in. Get real. Suck it up and stop whining.
Your level of trust is anachronistic.
Yes. I believe in data & science.
It took about ten years to develop the mRNA that is the cell that imitates the spikes that is on the corona virus. It was developed for a different strain of Covid. This is why we were able to have a vaccine so quick. The info is on the podcast below. It the last story on the podcast. Last 15 min approx. but the whole podcast is good. Listen! Episode 727

Can't relate, I'm first inline when I get the chance.
I was joking. Two doctors and a nurse who are friends got their first dose yesterday. I 100% agree they deserve their place in front, but can’t wait until it’s my turn!
No I would not. I'll be waiting a couple yrs. Pushed through a little to fast for my comfort
Idk about that... Where do you think they went wrong with Zantec.? J/S pushed to fast my comfort due to all the class action suits coming from medical to baby powder to round-up. Many more those are just a few examples.
No I will NOT get vaccine and haven't gotten a flu shot this year either - I'm healthy, take care of myself and refuse to live cowering in fear. We take chances every day walking into our classrooms, and in my case, even more so as I am a special education teacher and my students are always sniffling and snotty. It would be a strange day where someone's nose isn't green or someone isn't coughing, especially during cold and flu season (which apparently is non-existent). If people choose to get the vaccine, that's fine, but nothing like this should be forced. We are moving down a very slippery slope and once our freedoms are given up, we won't get them back.
I found an article that addresses the concern some of you expressed regarding still being able to spread the virus once you are vaccinated.Flu vaccines are much less effective than the Covid vaccine- 40 to 60% - and hence they tend to be more a protection for the individual.
Here’s a partial quote: “”I suspect the answer will be that people will not be able to transmit — that the virus will protect from transmission, because I think there will be enough antibodies made that will neutralize the virus even at the mucosal surface,” said Dr. Warner Greene, senior investigator at Gladstone Institutes, an independent, nonprofit research lab in San Francisco. “But it is just a guess at this point,” he added.
It’s a guess Bhattacharya agreed with. The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines have, after all, turned out to be much more effective than those tricky flu vaccines. “If you have a vaccine that’s 95 percent effective at reducing symptoms, there is no universe in which it wouldn’t also reduce the likelihood of transmission. It’s just not possible,” he said. “So we’re not talking about whether it reduces transmission or not, we just want to get an extent as to how much.”
Figuring that out, though, is going to take some time. Bhattacharya and Greene estimated months; Parikh said six months to a year. So, it’ll be a little longer until vaccinated individuals can let their guard down. Even after you get your two jabs, you should wear a mask and avoid crowds and situations where you could spread the virus to a lot of other people.”

I actually cannot take the vaccine due to existing health issues. Even if I could, I wouldn't! If it were mandatory... Peace out! They have already gone too far! No limit on the number of students in my classes. Yes classes! I have 6 classes and have been in all the others as support for the subs. We have kids out and no one is test in order to return. They are forcing more kids back onto campus and that means back to normal. The there are classes that have 4 positive cases and the other students in the class are not told they are exposed. The teachers are not told that they are exposed when they spend a long amount of time in a classroom with the students. Why... Because the money doesn't get put into the district if we aren't in buildings. I have friends that teach in the hospital and our nurse just tells us that it must be allergies and doesn't send kids with symptoms home. A vaccine won't help if we are in constant contact with this crap. Not only that but we get all the fake thank you videos from district leadership that are sitting nice and safe in their office. If you really want to know the anxiety and stress then take your behinds into the classrooms of the teachers you keep putting in harms way! Put yourself in the situation you put your people in! All of us teachers that will have to spend our holidays at home alone because we are exposed daily. When the high-school in the district is sending a notice home daily it is time to shut this shit down, but no... Everything is just fine and this is nothing more than flu right. It also disappeared after the election correct. I just don't have words for the amount of ignorance that is floating around our schools.
If parents knew the truth... We are not socially distanced. They are not required to wear the masks on the bus. It is a shit show. You are not notified when a teacher has this because the administration changed the rules. If the don't have a mask on and are within 6 ft then they are expose. BS! THEY CHANGE THE RULES TO KEEP US IN THE BUILDING EVEN IF WE SHOULD BE QUARANTINED. 💵 MONEY 💵... I am so glad that money is more important than my life and the lives of those I serve. Please don't make it sound like I chose to be back in a building. My ADA paperwork was not good enough. Hmmmm... Interesting.
VACCINE BY FORCE... NOPE!
Sounds like more than a bad day. Hate to say it, but maybe it is time to hang it up. The alternative is to teach somewhere else where those issues rarely come up. I too have preexisting conditions. I haven't looked into getting vaccinated. Need time to see how others are reacting to it.

I find it interesting that the rest of the WORLD has moved on with life and Covid-19. But it’s only the U.S. that still lives in fear and more than half the population would take a vaccination because “they tell us” it will cure. The rest of the world knows the survival rate of COVID-19. I mean look at China, see what they were doing this past summer. Too many of us will blindly accept anything when we live in fear. No, I will not take the vaccine. They say trust the science. Hah! Whoever is saying this will believe anything. 🤦♀️. Scientists were able to “cure” COVID but not Cancer? Cancer has been around longer. What about HIVs? Where is the vaccination for that?? That has been around a lot longer as well. But yet within a year they have a vaccine for Covid?? Makes you wonder what is in this vaccine? Or maybe it doesn’t, and you just want to take it. And you’ll blindly think your saved. 🤷♀️ But to each their own I guess.
Other countries have not moved on, South American and European countries have case count % that match the US. You just stopped hearing about it because our own news outlets have been consumed with domestic politics , and you clearly have not informed yourself beyond that.
I will definitely be taking it. I think it should be mandatory long term. Probably not within the first 5 years. But after 5 years it should be mandatory.
After 5 years? You mean when everyone has built up significant immunity to it and the virus itself has weakened to an even less threatening level?
I would get the vaccine without hesitation. However, I also believe it should not be forced or required of anyone.
This is how I feel too. I’m getting my second shot this Saturday and I’m happy about my choice. I ABSOLUTELY feel it should be a choice what people do with their own bodies. I would never shame someone or pass judgment on a person who wants to wait and see what the side effects could be. I’ve made my choice. I’ll let others make theirs.
Sign me up, dude. Give me that sweet sweet Dolly Parton vaccination.

I will be first in line as soon as allowed. I am grateful for our medical and science community and everything they have done to help people during this time. I don’t think a medical procedure should be mandatory and it should be a choice. People should be comfortable with getting the vaccine. If some want to wait, so be it and those that want it can take their spot in line.

MN. ,
Yes. I’ve been paying a lot of attention to the trials and learning how it works. I feel good about it if it’s approved.
Yes, absolutely I would. If the science and health care professionals recommend it and have studied it then I am all in. The other option is???
Preschool Teacher 4 - do you have children and if so did you get them vaccinated for school or did you take advantage of your state’s vaccine exemptions? You probably have nothing to worry about as most people will take the vaccine. You can survive because of us, no worries!
Why would you not? Died from small pox? Crippled by polio? Had tetanus or tuberculosis? Suffers from measles? Mumps? Rubella? Ever had cholera? Typhoid? No? Well that’s thanks to vaccines! (Drops mic)
@Illinois. So you support women to have a choice to be pregnant?
The safety and efficacy data is amazing right now. I’ll get it as soon as I’m able.
It’d depend on whether or not my reservations were based on data & science.... or fear, misinformation, disinformation, or just not understanding the science & data.
Best we can do is educate yourselves and make sure our info in coming from reliable sources (and not echo chambers) and ask questions and ask for help if we dont understand something.
I for one will get it.
Do you know of any scientific data that has been released? I would be very interested in the results of trials run, how it was funded, and both failure and success data. This is an important decision and I’d like to make an informed decision.
