It depends. Sometimes, starting with a higher title can mean less opportunity to move up but also more responsibilities and expectations. So a 27% increase in reality may actually not be a lot when switching companies.

You have to. You’ll never get more than 10-5% raise yoy with a current employer.

If you like your current employer and they offer non monetary compensation like respect, autonomy, choice, training, network, etc then maybe stay but…

Tell them you got a 27% offer increase. They won’t match it but they will give you a max raise which will be like 10-15% today.

Has anyone ever gotten let go early during their notice period so the company could avoid paying you a bonus? My company’s policy states you need to be employed on the day of the payout which suggests as long as you’re working on that day, you’ll get it. In the 70s before first year raise. Headhunters coming out of the wood works now, especially Corp dev/strategy roles. When they ask for salary expectations I say in the 90s. Am I too low/high?
