TCS strategy = our people are cheaper than yours.
What about the onshore leads. The cheaper resources is only referring to offshore right ?
Age 45+ : Definitely Yes
40-45: Maybe if comp is good
Less than 40: Not at all
There is nothing strategic or consulting with TCS

No - what exits are there from WITCH strategy?
If you have any restrictions or looking for job immediately, then do consider.. TCS is a revenue machine and provides job stability. You will be working with good people but they are married to TCS for life, lots of onshore/offshore calls.
Strategic consulting, if there is any, would be more aligned towards application positioning and investment required etc

I’m less concerned on firm prestige. More concerned on bad stories on their culture, and the inherent risk wish switching firms.
Typical number is 20% gross. Slight premium due to culture, 33%
Would not do it if you have other options? I'd also think about my exit options with the brand.
True. But already have EY on resume. Doesn’t necessarily have to be the most recent employer right ?
I’m early 30’s. No other options but wasn’t actively looking. What are some horror stories about TCS? Is it true when travel resumes, you’ll be staying in low end motels and penny pinching for meal expenses? Bad cultural fit is alarming but EY’s culture isn’t great either.
Also recruiter said 20% variable pay. Think that’s true ? I’m used to 5-8% raises and even less bonus (obviously none this year)
Thanks M1. Really good insight.
How big of a factor is being non-Indian? I did a quick search on LinkedIn for “engagement manager” based out of NYC and it was literally 99% Indian. Nothing against it but I may not fit in culturally.
And yeah although I’m aligned to strategy transformation consulting now in big 4 we currently doing a lot of technology implementations overseeing offshore resources. So I can’t imagine the TCS projects being much different.
In the same boat now. Did you take it? How’d it turn out?
