I passed my CPA exams, waiting for my license now, will take about 4-5 months. Should I look for a new job now or wait for my license, aiming for B4 audit senior.
I work at a Tier 2 strategy house. Whenever headhunters contact me, it is either for another tier 2, a boutique, or occasionally a tier 1, but never a big 4. Anyone else experience this? Why?
Does anyone know anything about the real estate advisory practices within the big 4? Which are the best firms for it, cities, ect.
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
How hard is it to move to FAANG from a relatively unknown boutique consulting firm? Are there extra leaps compared to MBB or Big 4, or if you get a referral you have similar odds?
For those in big 4, how much time between accepting an offer and start date have you been able to ask for? Is a month feasible/how should one phrase it? Two weeks just doesn’t feel like enough with this heavy burnout/having to wrap up deals at old firm
Looking to make move to Big 4... Anyone have salary for experienced manager at Big 4? What are hours like? Responsibilities?
Thoughts on internal audit at big 4?
I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?
How much total comp raise would you need to go to another big 4, equally reputable in the space. They claim that they will reduce your travel from 80% to 25%, which is a big plus for me.
Guys I know this question has been asked before, but just want to hear some thoughts on this. Is it worth it to go from one big 4 company (EY) to another (Deloitte) for consulting? The major factor is pay increase. The major down side is loss of people network. Thoughts?
How’s the consulting work life balance at Big 4 in Europe Do folks work more than 45 hours through the week and is it normal to have to work on weekends?
Just joined Deloitte in July out of UG, but want to make move to MBB. Is it a good idea to start applying right away or do I need more experience before making the jump?
I'm a senior finance major planning to take the CISA instead of the CFA/CPA so I can get to manager. What are the best CISA prep programs/books for a non-IT major?
I’m looking for a Spanish speaking auditor for a Fortune 500 company. Awesome international travel if anyone is interested.... TIA!
Delta Platinum today ✨🌟

For those with HSAs, are you actively using the balance to pay medical bills? Or are you holding on to those funds and paying bills out of regular savings/checking? Is there an advantage one way or the other?
What do you do when you are told to resign or get a non-renewal? Is it worth getting your Union involved?
Happy New Year! Although just a change of a digit on the calendar, the fact that we’ve rotated around the sun gives people inspiration for change. What new or altered mindset or actions will you be bringing into your classroom in 2021? 🤩
What is a great gift/gesture to thank someone for referring you for a really good role that you accepted? What would you appreciate? I am sure he got a nice referral bonus from the firm but want to do something, and he absolutely deserves it (but is the type to never expect anything).
Its bonus season and thinking of splurging on a vintage rolex submariner...any other thoughts on a comparable watch to consider?
I have a standing offer with Accenture (AFS). Due to coronavirus, the recruiter told me they are pausing staffing of external people like myself while they take care of internal people on the bench. My recruiter said he would touch base monthly during covid, but usually I’m the one to reach out to him. We haven’t spoken since mid March, so should I reach out? I totally understand if they’re still in the same position as before and nothing changed since mid March in terms of hiring.
Anyone is sick of agencies laying off good people when pieces of crap are keeping their jobs as managers ?
Any moms out there? Finding it really tough to work in consulting and be with my kid for only a few hours a day. Luckily I'm local, but not sure how long that will last.
Does anyone else find it difficult to ask for time off? I haven’t taken a “vacation day” since February, billed 185+ hour months consistently through the pandemic (exceeded hours for 2020 bonus eligibility), and am feeling pretty burnt out. It’s hard because other associates in my department haven’t really taken any time off either (or it has been a day or two sporadically). Would really love to take some days over Christmas to recharge but I’m nervous about perception.
Anyone in account management in Amazon AWS? How is the culture, wlb, how is that org structured? Considering an offer, any insight appreciated 🙏🏻
Wondering if anyone had moved to consulting from PhD? Any challenges you foresee in filing green card under EB1A independently. My company is not willing to file for green card at this stage. Any recommendations on lawyers?
Peeps, what happened if when you got married to a citizen while in the process of getting work green card? Does the company make you return the fee they pay for the application?
Anyone else really pack on the pounds during work from home? I really blew up - probably gained 40-45 pounds. I feel so bloated and sluggish all the time and none of my clothes fit anymore. I hope I’m not alone.
Unfortunately my wife is unable to return to work due to some medical issues. Her medical leave is about to end. I have always taken a backseat to support her career and worked from home CTND
