Are you ready to plateau in exchange for WLB?

Plateau is a strong word.. slow down progression May be a better way to put it

Slalom - ~3-4 years. Variety of factors, could be quicker (cloud is mo I got very quickly if you perform), ratings play a factor, product visibility, RoI to Google/have you done any 10x opportunities.

You’ll get equity refreshers yearly on top of your initial lump sum, an annual bonus, and a % raise too, so the comp is definitely always competitive.

Do you want an MBA? Do you see tech as your ideal exit?

I’d hold out till second year EM/PL and then leave. I’m told by friends there that it’s helpful acceleration through that level at least.

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?

Does anyone stress about student loans? I have $176k in loans and as January gets closer, the panic attacks have gotten worser. I am working to transition to big law for pay, job security and more technical skills. I am a 2019 grad and it just seems so hard to break into big law.

I just need advice on what to do. My mind is scattered and stressed! Thank you in advance!

Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
