What’s the timeline for suffering through a role at your new firm before boomeranging back? How do you approach your old manager about returning? We still have a great relationship and there were no hard feelings about me leaving.
What do you think a fair salary would be for a CD at a startup agency in NYC? Wondering how underpaid I am haha. Ha. Whimper.
You like your project / team. You like your firm You are unsure about the work you are doing. You don’t want to be in consulting forever. Is it worth going to a boutique for a few years to gain more experience in a different area before exiting to industry, given it’s a 20%+ pay increase from current salary? Given I am 1-2 years from manager level.
My boss asked me to tell him the # I want my bonus to be this year. I make 100k. Received 7k last year. Have taken on 2X the responsibility since. NYC. Thoughts?
Hi Everyone! It’s almost the end of the year and I decided that it’s time for a change in my career. I have been working as a business analyst at JNJ, with about 4 years of experience and halfway done with my MBA. I would like to move into a project management role (I have worked on my scrum master certification). I make about 68k a year and I feel like I’m due for a huge pay raise. I have been asking 105k-120k which companies have been open to. Am I asking for the appropriate amount?
How do you prepare for a preliminary interview to discuss the position for a scrum master? What type of questions should I look forward to being asked?
Negotiations- how many have you successfully negotiated your salary. Please share your tips :)
2.5 YOE, transferring from internal to Consulting, entering at C level, in a T1 city. What is a reasonable salary expectation?
What are the primary executive search firms that support exits from MBB in Chicagoland? I want to exit there but currently working in Europe.

Might be a long shot but my husband and I are wanting to move back home to the Fayetteville, AR area. Any firms hiring in that area for staff level? Just finished my first busy season (had 2 this year). Currently in audit in financial services, asset management, but willing to work in other areas, even advisory.

Has anyone applied for the Uber CC? I know there's some "points people" in here so curious if these deals are as good as it seems. 4% dining and 3% airfare/hotel (which most of my travel) with no fees
Have a first stage interview coming up at another Big 4. It’s with a director, which I wasn’t really expecting. Is this normal for first round? And what should I expect at director-level interview?
I joined consulting from industry with a salary increase of 60% and in hope to work on interesting and challenging projects. It has been only 8 months. My old job was slow, bureaucratic and boring but I barely worked 7 hours a day. While I am happy that I am learning a lot, I am also pushing between 12 to 16 hours a day and working for a toxic client. I am worried I will burn out soon. How do you manage to stay in consulting for so long ?
Considering a move from Delivery side of consulting to the Sales side (i.e. selling work, RFPs, opportunity/deal conversion). Been in delivery for over 20 years and feel I need a change. I get to "test drive" the role and do it for a year. Any one been on the Sales side and Delivery side for a time and have an opinion and why they like one over the other? Thanks!
Second week with at least one day with no hot water at the Westin. Feel bad complaining but it’s really annoying. Should I ask for points? Who do I ask? My ambassador?
What are some good agency internship programs other than the Kennedys (Amsterdam/London) or The Pipe (Ogilvy London)? Even better if the chances of hiring are high.
Hi all..any feedback on how logicmonitor is as a company..in terms of work culture, wlb and raise?
Need some advice. I’m 21, my partner is 29. We have a son together. As I get older, I realize I don’t know if I’m ready to settle down completely. I know that sounds crazy, because I am a mom, but I want to travel around and my partner thinks it’s not doable with a family. I also want to eventually move out of state to explore other opportunities, but he’s not interested. He thinks we are just at two different points in our life. Is this a reason to part ways?
Stock market looking great. Unemployment numbers improving already with so many states still waiting to open. Hope we can rebuild our great economy and bring it back to pre-covid numbers soon🙏
Just found out I’m pregnant with our third child and I’m a nervous wreck. Moms with 3 or more kids... how do you handle it when both parents work full time with busy schedules? Do you get to spend enough quality time with all the kids? Does any child feel left out or resentful? Are you able to still have a career?
I have an associates degree and 3 years of experience as a process operator at a oil distillation refinery. It’s shutting down and I really feel lost/ scared. I’m applying everywhere but hate this feeling of uncertainty. Not for me but for my kids. I don’t mind learning something new , any advice? I was thinking truck driving (CDL) or lineman school… I don’t mind moving but I love being a process operator
Interesting read on an epidemiological study done on the correlation between universal BCG vaccination policy and reduced morbidity and mortality for COVID-19. (This hasn’t been peer-reviewed) https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.24.20042937v1.full.pdf
Is anyone else struggling to focus on MBA Apps because it’s hot vax summer? Don’t have time during the week bc of demanding job so was planning on spending weekends working but I always have plans and zero motivation...
Is it bad to stay on a project for a year? Been doing the same type of PMO work. Just trying to get 2 years of consulting experience then getting out.
Fall may make COVID19 worse and Trump is not doing much and his incompetence is on full display. Approaching 200K deaths.
I have stepped into December with total apathy towards work. Just came back from vacation so I don’t feel like I need to rest. Just no desire at all to do anything and I can’t find the motivation. I am also in the process of looking for other job opportunities but nothing seems to excite me. Has anyone ever felt the same way? Maybe it’s just a period that will pass on its own? Any advice will be appreciated🙏
