Conduent HR is ghosting even after sending a salary break up. When I finally got hold of her she told me to send the counter offer through mail. She is not responding to my mails when I'm nearing lwd, very unprofessional behaviour from Conduent. They at least should have the basic decency to get back if rejected or on hold so I could pursue other opportunities. Why drag until lwd? Conduent Tata Consultancy Deloitte India Techie

Which company would you join?
I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).
I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.

50/50 every time because I know I’m hitting accelerators.
The company offered me 50/50 split. I countered with a 60/40 with the same OTE. It’s uncapped commission in either scenario, and the structure percentage won’t change. I personally like the “guaranteed” income, hence why I countered 60/40
Let me add this caveat into the mix. What if its a team-based comp plan with shared quota and aggressive accelerators? Then what would make more sense still 50/50 or would 60/40 be the better option here?
Agreed, plus companies that do higher base tend to have overall worse commissions from my experience
70/30 is best overall for a long term contract
60/40 is preferable as long as that 40 is truly uncapped
