Five with three remote because you can bet your ass that most of us would be working that Friday even if we had it off. Nature of the beast.

like

Easy call. 5 days with three home. With clients on a five day week, it’s completely unrealistic to think our “day off” would actually be a day off.

C) work from home 5 days a week and use the office as a museum of the old way to work

D. Work from home 4 days/week and have Fridays off.

This is what it really should be 👏👏

Would be cool if all Office buildings were just made into residential units. Rent would finally go down

With option A, getting "fridays off".. wonder how many will actually get a Friday off.. or is it just another full work day but at home

like

Yes duh.

Why are A and B even options at this point.

B. Would use the in office days for meetings, bumping into execs for quick convos that it would have taken a month to get a meeting for. I just don't think I could get it all done in only four days and it's fine anyways because I can clean while on a call or throw in laundry between things

like

B - but really, why can’t we just use the office as an always constant coffee shop / library / meet up space. 8 hour days are outdated - another thing remote work has shown us. With 5 million meetings in a single week, are you really working 40 hours anyway?

like

Neither. I’d rather work 0 days a week in the office. A bunch of creatives I know just got agency jobs that are FULLY REMOTE.

like

B for sure.

Four day work week.

Back on the market and I’m coming to find two things: 1. Less desirable agencies are the ones who want people back on-site soon, with no wiggle room for remote work. 2. These same agencies want to pay salaries based on COL in the city where the agency is based even if you’re working/living from another market in the interim. Example: Midwest based agency paying Midwest salaries to folks living in places like NY, SF, LA. 🧐🧐🧐🧐

What is it about law that glorifies morning people so much? I am NOT one and wfh has been so great for me in terms of being able to set my own schedule, but now that we’re starting to go back to the office I’ve noticed some pointed comments about people not being in by 8am. I bill as much (generally more) than other associates, so why does it matter if I start at 9 and work late?? I’m finding it hard to go back to the arbitrary-feeling 8am office start when I know I’m not going to be productive.

One perk of WFH is I can cry without having to hide in a bathroom. Maybe I’m PMSing but just feeling really unwanted rn. Don’t have friends or work colleagues that seem to care about/like me. Like is there something genetically about a person that can make them unlikeable? I just don’t understand what’s wrong with me as a person. I have adhd and struggle with anxiety and depression. This year has been relentless. WFH and dealing with stress has destroyed my cognitive functioning. Im not as productive, work quality has suffered, I don’t interact as effectively as I used to. My performance has taken a hit - which my manager has noticed - and I can’t get back on track. I’m really trying. The fact that I’m worried about my job makes things even worse. Any advice for how to overcome this? (Beyond therapy/meds - already doing)
