Yes. I've been just that. I don't want to specialize and be locked up in a certain type of role.

Anyone have advice on switching from consulting into tech? I’ve been with my current employer a little under a year. I’m thinking after my current project ends in August that I’ll start looking for tech jobs. I’d be looking for data science and data analytics roles.

Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code. I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”. Just wondering: 1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?

Hello Fishes, I need some advice regarding this situation and what to do. So I work for a company that offers outsourcing services to major investment banks around the world. I have been working for a new client for about six months now and they seem to like my work so far. Recently I saw that they're hiring to get people on their team at my level. My question is, should I talk to my client and try to pursue them to consider me for the role they're hiring for?

Is a Business Analyst closer in job role to a Consultant or a project Manager? I have recently joined a service based consulting firm, with my role as a BA in Banking domain but wish to get into PM roles in the near future. I'd deeply appreciate your inputs from your career journey or any suggestions to eventually create a strong profile for PM roles in Big tech firms. I'm sure this thread would help a lot of aspiring PMs learn from your journey

I'm a co-founder of a midwest travel tech startup focused on allowing you to plan travel faster, easier, cheaper . . better. We're running a little incentive/hack for booking your first trip through Tempore, this could either be in the form of flights, hotel, or rental car. Plus we have access to proprietary discounts and concierge support. The last 18+months have been extremely challenging as a travel startup, and would truly value the support/opportunity (no fees whatsoever). Link below!
