Struggling financially is stressful and draining. If you are in that boat, I’m sorry. But, that won’t always be the case for you in advertising, especially if you love it and are good at it. Not struggling is awesome - but ultimately more and more money doesn’t equate to more happiness. Loving what you do day after day, helping others, being a good person, these things will fill you. A job that doesn’t energize you will ultimately hurt much more than the money will help.
Get high enough in advertising and you won’t struggle financially. You’ll also probably be a little less passionate haha
Depends what you value more and which will make you happier overall.
Advertising allows me to pay for the lifestyle I want, they’re not mutually exclusive. It takes a couple of years, and while I’m not loaded I’m definitely comfortable enough to book trips, not worry about monthly bills, get meals out whenever. However I am single in NYC.. it’d be different with a kid.
Yep see above. These are rarely either/or scenarios and highly subjective with so much context missing.
Lol funny thing is I think account management pays decently, especially with time, but i guess it’s all relative
$$$ gets much better at Account Sup-above.
Advertising is a prosperous look to me. I'm struggling serving food looking for a gig.
My goal is to make the $$ now while I can with hopes that I’ll eventually be in a good position where I can do what I am passionate about/love without having to worry about my financial status. Hopefully that doesn’t end up biting me in the ass some day and I never get to do the thing I’m passionate about...but I guess I’m willing to take the gamble!
