Would you stay with a company in this economy when they’ve had a massive reorg with layoffs, people who stayed were demoted, and jobs changed entirely? Or would you start looking? I know I’m lucky to have a job but I think my company will have more rounds like this & in a normal economy I’d be looking to leave.
Yes, I would start looking. Doesn't hurt, and prepares you for the grueling job market at the moment. It's quite an experience.
I would definitely start looking sooner rather than later. Those would all raise questions in my mind and I think that is way too many red flags. It is taking people months to find something new so its better to start looking now so it gives you time to find something good

Start looking for jobs for sure but don’t take off until you have a solid offer.
Pro
Always be looking.
Start looking ASAP.
I'd have started looking the moment layoffs started
It might be wise to start exploring other opportunities if you think your long-term career growth and job security seem uncertain.
Keep an eye out , but stay for now until this storm blows over. If they kept you, that's a good sign.
If they let you go, you'll get a free month long vacation, etc. You'll get severance if you've been there a while. Why leave ?
Because I was demoted but also given double the amount of work, while being told I did such a great job that they want me to work on this new project (aka the work no one wants to do for the past two years).
Start looking, but also do what you can to keep your current position. The current market for job seekers in Tech is very bad.
Look for another job, since they are looking for a different workforce
Don't believe any of that garbage about how a company is a giant family. When times are prosperous you are a family, when things get rough it's just business. Don't let them use your emotions to keep you around. Always be looking for the next position

Eventually the decision will be made for you when they can no longer employ you. When that time comes there may be less opportunities. Do you want to leave your income up to fate or would you like to play an active role in shaping your future?
Always be looking in todays world
Why not bc they got laid off foa a reason not me bc they playing around and not working y'all unjust unionized
Do you enjoy it there? Does not sound like it! Update your resume and get it out on LinkedIn, Indeed and contact recruiters in your sphere. I moved up to a far better role with promotion. Well worth the change after five years at a much smaller company.
I
Wwrwww
I look at this from two perspectives. 1. How do you fully know your worth as an employee if you don’t update your resume and put your “feelers” out from time to time? Then secondly there’s the old adage of “it’s always easier to find a job when you have a job”. I don’t necessarily believe that layoffs and restructuring is a reason to jump ship, but I think the exercise of job hunting will make you better.
If you can upskill and get any certifications/tuition reimbursement on the company before you go, do it!
Depends on how good the layoff package might be.
Sounds a whole lot like the company I work at.
I always keep your options open and on the search until you find a company you like. Keep showing up for work until you get the layoff notice or until you find something better.
Indeed always open I put in applications at work don't play urself
