Would you stick around to your job if your boss is vindictive and has a personal vendetta against you? I don’t have another job in hand but this is affecting me severely. I’m losing my sanity and impacting my mental health.

Nope. I'm in the position. I was basically told I will need to get out of KPMG before it is too late...two hours later I was polishing my resume and applying to some jobs.

Hard no. Your good mental health is too valuable of a resource.

Eject.

I was in the same situation as you @ PwC. Don’t wait, ask to be transferred to a different group within PwC or move to another firm / client side.

OP look for new jobs ASAP. Sorry to hear that. If this person who put you on PIP is indeed vindictive then they will not let you get off no matter how hard you try to work through the PIP. Do the bare minimum and focus your efforts on finding a new job. You’ll get past this and find a better opportunity.

Nope. I was in that situation and I quit. I’m hustling on some consulting now but don’t regret it. If it’s contentious see if you can talk to them and agree on an exit plan where they won’t fight UE. You can also fight for UE by outlining the toxic environment but you need documentation.

Dental question: I’ve been told I am genetically predisposed to plaque buildup in bottom teeth for some reason. I brush 2-3 times a day, floss 2-3x a day and water floss 2x a day, and I still need a dental clean almost every 3-4 months. Anyone else have this problem? I don’t know what else I can do to solve this...

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

I’m a certified Health Coach (my training/courses are CCE-accredited by the International Coach Federation) w/ a BS in Psychology. I got a temp to hire starting at $18/hr. It is my first professional health coach job & they did not require temps to have a coaching certification, but I have one. I’d like to know if temps could negotiate salary when given the job offer. The position is remote & I’d like $20/hr. I’ve invested in myself as a coach & plan to complete board certification by early 2023

Not necessarily health related. My husband and I have been married for 14 years. Both in mid to late 30s. We got married young without a lot of plans and now my clock is ticking we've been thinking about having kids. But neither of us really wants to have any although wouldn't mind having one if it happens. Just wanted to hear from both parents and couples with no kids. What do you like/dislike about your situation? What made you decide where you are now? Any advice for us?

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?
