40% increase > title
Dude they can call me the janitor if I make 40% more. If you’re worried about what it looks like if you want to leave, embellish the title. The real Value is explaining what you do at a place

Hell fucking yea
Titles can be negotiated. Ask. Ask when and how you'd get a chance to have the title or be promoted. Title in industry matters because equity pay keys off of levels.
Hands down yes. For a 40% bump I would take intern as a title.
😅😂😂😂😂
Are you me?! Lol this is exactly what I had to decide recently. Took a step down to consultant but went to a more prestigious company with 38% bump. Not regretting it. It’s all about the $$

Titles are not equal across companies/industries. For example, at Goldman a VP is the equivalent of a manager in PA.
Lol how is that even a question
Think of it this way, would you take a 40% pay decrease for a bump in title?
For 40% they could call be janitor

I was thinking the exact same thing! 😂 I clean up everyone else’s sh*t anyway.

I went down two levels for a 30% pay bump. Take the pay unless you think you can negotiate a better salary based on the title elsewhere. Bird in hand vs two in the Bush and all that.

Corporate titles are not that important, it’s still nice to have though. I went from an Executive Director to a First VP on my last job change (was quite bummed bc how hard I worked to get to ED at my old firm), but the potential for much higher comp made the downgrade in title a lot easier to swallow.
Is this a real question
Absolutely. Titles mean jack shit and are mostly made up. Pay me fairly for the work I’ll be performing.
Yes
Ok, ok all - thank you for the candid feedback lol. Maybe it was just the post interview doubts that had me considering this was a difficult decision. 🤷♂️
Call me staff
Yes.
Go for it....you’ll have significantly more $ with a prestigious company. As stated above, titles and salaries differ between companies and industry.

What’s wrong with janitors guys😐
Nothing, I’m just jealous of their job compared to mine.
