I’m the only Dad on my team. Last night we had to work till 8. Not because we were swamped. But because the entire team just felt like goofing off for two hours instead of getting the work done....
Any Tampa/St. Pete 🐠 here? Thinking I'll move there next month. Have visited a number of times and I like it!

👀 Still looking for an apartment swap in NYC. I have a clean apartment in Mexico City. The dates are October 27th to November 3rd, Day of the Dead holiday weekend. With LOTS happening. Located in the best area of Mexico City with a ton of restaurants, cafes, and parks. High speed internet with standing desk, large TV, external monitor, and more. Message me your email or phone number and we can text to exchange pictures and more information.

Daycare moms that nurse, what is your at routine? I want to get up before baby gets up but boobs are super full so taking a shower means so much leaking (sorry TMI!). Also do you feed solids before you leave or just pack it for daycare to feed?

I feel so undervalued at my job. I work my ass off and pick up other peoples slack, working above my level and still other people get higher praise. I don’t know what to do anymore. I want to give up.
Comp for VC roles? Find it interesting for VC but don’t know how much pay cut I have to take
Took me awhile to get it. But this can be a lonely industry, even if you happen to have a SO.

I am going to have an interview with US HQ senior manager on Video chat as third-round interview on next week.
Do you think the odds of passing this is high?
Otherwise are there many people who have an opportunity to have an interview with HQ?
I have recently been offered the same role (Client Services Associate) at Morgan Stanley and Macquarie. Both offices are in Melbourne, Victoria, AUS. Both have a generous pay package. My priorities are to join a company that is open to new ideas, recognises hard work and have opportunities to grow and move up the ladder (my goal is to become an analyst in the minerals/mining space). Does anyone have any feedback I could use to determine which opportunity is better? Any insights will be welcome!
I feel like my manager is focused way more on company performance and numbers than anything related to me and my growth as a member of the team. Is it wrong to wish that they were just a little bit more invested in me?

I failed CFA level 3 once.
I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.
While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.
Any suggestions as to what I should start with?

Never would take a pay cut. Only caveat might be career change. I worked at a mm and it helped me get a bb job.
If I was in the first couple of years in my career, maybe a 10% cut. Now, not a chance I’d take a pay cut to work at JPM or MS.
Are you hiring for any front office roles at associate level? Trying to make a career change as have been stuck in credit risk for too long, 7-8 years now and the clock is ticking.
Why take a pay cut and go somewhere you don't want to work when you could just start making moves now to get to where you want to be long term...? Like why are you still trying to tee up exit ops as an associate? Now is the time to exit if you are going to lol.

Payout at JPM. Is that both base and bonus? Jpm tends to pay well. See if you can negotiate.
Yeah they don’t really budge. But I’ll try. Thanks!
