Hi Y'all, sorry to jump in here uninvited as I'm not a part of MBB. I wanted to get your opinion on a firm to get a perspective on if it's a good opportunity or not. Have any of you heard of Stax?

Does MBB ever let people specialize in Life Sciences right off the bat at the post-MBA Consultant level or do you always have to start out as a generalist?

Looking for experienced case partners for the next few weeks. 1-2 YOE here and probably done 100+ cases, applying to MBB.

Question for MBB folks or those familiar: I did NOT go to a target school for undergrad but graduated top of my class and got promoted early twice to get to Manager in 4 years at PwC. Don’t like the idea of spending crazy amounts on an MBA to make the transition to MBB. Is getting hired there a realistic possibility without an MBA? I have solid product management experience in the FS space

What’s a good way to stop being jealous? A friend of mine has been extremely lucky when it comes to job. Got their job out of undergrad last minute when someone dropped out. Their manager moved to MBB and needed people so pulled them over. Now they work on an internal team (40 hour weeks or less) making 200+ while I’m grinding away making 120. Just irritates me when they talk how things aren’t expensive or just have disposable income

Is 120K for 2 YOE (mbb) in NYC a decent offer? Position itself asks for 3 YOE+.

Anyone care to share opinions or experiences about internal roles at mbb? Work is interesting, but wouldn’t be client facing anymore

How long before you apply should you reach out to recommenders?

will jumping jobs (currently less than one year at a company) look poor on an mba application? i don’t feel challenged where i am currently and am hesitant in starting the interview process based on how it may look to admissions. I have ~5 years of exp overall and have stayed at my prior two firms for around 2.5 years each.

Dead sure that I'll apply to a few M7s/T10s in R2 but don't have my GMAT sorted yet. Should I already reach out to my recommenders? I should have a couple, hopefully, solid ones onboard but confused about when to engage them.
