For what type of company? Certainly not tech

Ditto

I recently joined a tech start up. Depends on your risk tolerance, but if you can work somewhere that provides you transparency into financials, it can provided added comfort.

Depends on which company. Some tech start ups are pretty solid, but I would be very picky.

Yeah it depends on their financial situation

Yes it depends on the financial situations. My current startup is looking a bit shaky so I am searching for another position.

I’m in a bit of a conundrum. I am the Marketing Director in a space where they have never had marketing before. I created a new website, a shorter domain for emails etc and I manage all social media, advertising, creative, brand awareness etc. my boss is constantly challenging me on sales. Our analytics have increased by about 30% on all platforms and he wants to “fire” or get out of advertising contracts because he wants people in the doors for sales. I am having a hard time reflecting my worth

I'm currently a mid-level associate in a Big Law firm and am about to finish a 6-month secondment with a large international corporation. I'm also looking for in-house positions. Just wondering about the best way to highlight this experience for in-house positions.

Applying for some in-house M&A jobs, and a big focus is being able to run deals. I of course feel very comfortable running deals from the corporate side and managing multiple teams, but have obviously always had an army of specialists in biglaw. How does this work in house? I’m primarily thinking from a tax perspective — I likely wouldn’t be able to structure a deal (and don’t think many of my peers could either) since we always rely on a tax team, but not sure if that is an expectation.
