How to pivot into consulting with corporate operations experience?

Has anyone ever failed a background check/employment verification? If so, why? (If you don’t mind sharing) I’m waiting to hear back from a company and I’m nervous because it’s taking some time. One of my employer dates was off because I was trying to fit it on my resume, but I submitted W2s because I did actually work there.

Looking for advice/tips: Significant other is wrapping up a full stack bootcamp, and prepping for the job market soon. I’d like to help her through next steps, but understand this is outside my depth of experience.

Any advice on the following would be helpful:
- how she can maximize/optimize time after the bootcamp to learn, network, and find a role
- how as a partner I can help her stay positive and productive
