Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte

This was me, lasted about 4-5 weeks total. Took a lot of naps in the middle of the day and did the bare minimum work and housework wise. I was lucky in that my project wasn’t too demanding and I’ve been remote the entire time, I don’t know how I would handle nonstop meetings or being in an office. Or if I had another kid ha. It gradually got better and now I have allll the energy most days (currently almost 29 weeks) but some days the tiredness can still hit I assume due to growth spurts or just not getting great sleep. Hope it gets better for you soon! In the meantime don’t be afraid to take time off, or to ask for help around the house if you have family nearby.
👋🏼 same here! I’m exhausted, onsite every day and take the deepest naps after work. I think my mindset is, baby is more important than anything - work will be fine 😅.
It gets better in the second trimester. Towards the end is the worst. Im at 39 weeks and zero energy. Work is such a struggle the past couple weeks. I’m just in a survival mentality at this point. Make it through the day and then climb back into bed.
At the same point and feel you. Telling myself that growing a human is way more important than anything happening on outlook or zoom!

Absolutely, and then I thank my lucky stars every day we're not at the client site, which allows me to take a siesta daily at 2:00 :)
Yea the fatigue was real during 1st and 3rd trimester. You get that boost back in 2nd trimester. But same. I just didn't care anymore

Yup. Currently still in bed. It’s 1:30pm lol

Lol today was definitely a WFB (Work From Bed) day. I took multiple calls from there while I snacked and drank all the fluids. It was a mood.
Afternoon naps, light stretches or walks (only if you have the energy) and lots of water really helped me. I moved around my non essential meetings if I needed to rest that time and often went to bed early. Do what’s best possible in your situation. And yes, I didn’t worry too much about the lowered productivity during my pregnancy.
This is me 1000%. I crash and have to nap at the end of the workday before I can make it to dinner. Been the case through most of my pregnancy so far..going into week 14 now and hoping my energy comes back😖🤞🏼
Share same sentiments! But wonder how people still do exercises ( yoga etc) .. i never had enough energy to go beyond daily house chores. Went for random walks the first 4 months only. Currently 38 weeks.
Midday naps all the time. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to work if I had to go into an office daily during my first trimester.
