Wow. I’m feeling a bit surreal. There was a home going for $450k and went down and then I negotiated off another $40k. Now I’m getting the home for about $350k with a 5.99 rate (30 year fixed).

It’s in the exact area I wanted to live in too (prime location) and all the homes around are well over $400k!

What city and how long has it been on the market?

like

Houston and it’s been for awhile (5 months or so)

To be fair, there are issues with the house but it’s also because the listing is so bad and has wrong info. For example, the front picture is blurry, and stretched out.

Congrats! Is this a primary residence? Or an investment property?

like

Primary residence. Investment property interest rate is higher these days.

6% is good for today's market! Makes me realize I can never sell my house tho cuz I'm locked in so low

Same. It’s amazing how much of a difference the interest rate makes.

Are you the same guy that posted not long ago asking if you should back out because the house was in bad condition and had structural issues?

Congratulations! Happy for you on the price, location and sqft!

Lately I’ve been feeling like all my friends and family around me have such great careers and are very successful and I’m behind. I would like some help trying to figure out what my next career move should be. I know I’m capable, I just don’t know what I should be looking for in my next opportunity, or what (strategically) I need to do to work my way up the ladder. Any resources or suggestions of who I could hire to help me figure things out?

I just received an offer on a job I would really like to accept. The salary offer is about 25% higher than my current salary, which I am happy about, but is also the low $ on the range I had expressed to the recruiter and the exact $ that I put on the online application (I had to put a $ figure). Am I being greedy trying to negotiate for a bit higher? Do they expect me to counter? I have been burned by NOT negotiating in the past but who can be mad at a 25% increase??
