Looking for admin work in NYC. I was let go back in December and have been struggling to find employment. I have years of experience and no luck.

I recently started a new job as HR Generalist at a small government contracting company. I only make about $66k/ year when previous i started closer to $45k but as a single parent of a kid in daycare, im struggling. I want advice on the best way to build my career as fast as possible to reach by goal of making $100k within the next 3 years in HR. What should I do to further myself professionally as fast as I can? SHRM classes? certs? PHR? all resources welcome!

Hi guys - as silly as it sounds, idk if I’m depressed. I haven’t showered in 2 days, barely ate any food (despite being hungry), and my house isn’t clean. I have so many things to do but I just can’t get out of bed. Don’t know if my energy is low, or if I’m depressed.

I was a loyal Amex SPG cardholder that migrated to Amex Bonvoy ($450 annual fee - which is really $150 after the $300 Marriott spend credit) ... we charge all personal expenses to this card (over $75K/yr). I feel that Bonvoy Platinum Elite status and a free night per year are nice, but are there better cards that have better rewards? Our other card is Costco Visa (for Costco purchases or for places that don’t accept Amex).
