What was your most amazing day in advertising?
Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?
Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Bonus points if you know what WPP stands for.
Wire paper plastics
“The buildings! We have to fill the buildings!”
convinced that read is an objectophiliac
There could not possibly be a more fitting name for someone whose emails I never read
I don’t delete. I simply mark them read ;)

That suit was probably 10k
Then he should know better than to pose with his coat unbuttoned.
WPP has always been a shit show. I remember working there during the Sorrell days when they rebranded their media agency and gave everyone a $50 gift card and a pen
Look on the bright side.
When you’re back in the office the average age will be under 30 and you won’t see anyone that “harks back to the 80s, luckily.”
Lol when advertising was actually good? Hilarious. I would love to make like 4 TV spots total a year and people be forced to watch them because Netflix, socials, and ad-blockers didn’t exist. Not to mention only having to market to one demographic because only the opinion of old white men mattered.
The advertising was shittier - people just didn’t have any other choice.
He should stop his ridiculous reorg where he fires long term talent - people who put in 20-30 years. It show’s junior staff the smart thing to do is move as WPP has no loyalty to them but expects it in return.

wait his name is mark read? like the button i click on emails i don’t care about?
They charge their employees for soup of the day in the new york cafeteria and dollar for soda in the vending machine. Trying to make money off their employees in the office lol.
Working at Ogilvy in NY years ago was a career highlight for me. Everyone who worked there in the early 90s gave it 110%. I'd be curious what it's like now.
Pre pandemic: come into the office three times a week. “OMG you are the best company and truly care and understand your employees”
Post Pandemic: come into the office three times a week. “How dare you!!! You don’t care about your employees and will lose them all!”
I wonder what happened during the pandemic that might have caused that shift in thinking 🤔
Ogilvy1, he's the fucking CEO of WPP, you expect him to wear a suit from Men's Warehouse?
You’re gonna like the way you look

Classic lol
Lol Force you to come in. Grow up
Was thinking of applying for an open role at an agency within WPP and mey reconsider over this. But wondering if individual agencies choose not to enforce, how would they track?
Narcs.
Just make it 5 days a week already. We know that’s where this is going.
3 in ‘23, 4 in ‘24, 5 in ‘25…you get the drift.
Y’all whiny AF. We been in the office for over a year post Covid. Is it great? No. Is it 5 days a week? No. Deal with it.
lol you sound mad as shit about it.
Pay for people’s travel with a pay rise. We’ve all afforded a different way of living by saving on travel in junior to mid positions.
What are they doing for employees who lived farther away when they were hired ?
That’s dumb
If I worked there I’d call their bluff.
💪
Did you all just get an email about this yesterday? When does the policy kick in?
