Thanks moms. Do you think 8:30am to 6:30pm Mon to Thursday and then until 4pm on Friday would be adequate?

Thanks so much EY1

If you start work at 9 you’re going to want nanny there probably around 8:30am. Starting right at 9 when you have to start work is just asking for issues.

8 hrs a day is hard. No chance for more?

Yeah 8 hours a day is often not enough with full work days. Our nanny is very flex so she is always able to stay longer if I need an extra hour of work, sometimes I’ll let her off early if I don’t…about 45-50 hours a week

My nanny has been with us for 7 years working 7am-5pm. Both husband and I have fast paced jobs and we needed full day coverage.

For me this is time zone dependent. When I lived on the west coast 7a-4p was great but now on the east coast we now do 9-6p.

We do 7:30-6:30 every day

830-600 but she can move up and down 30 mins as per agreement

My ex wife with whom I share custody of my 14 year old daughter has a live-in boyfriend who recently lost his mother and has developed a drinking problem. For the second week in a row I’ve had to pick up my daughter from their apartment because they were fighting and screaming at each other. Last time (1:30 AM Friday morning) he had physically assaulted my ex wife and then threatened to kill himself. I thought surely my ex wife would have kicked him out at least and better yet gotten a contd.

I have strong political opinions, but keep those private at work with the exception of a few coworkers who I’ve known for years. I was offered a job at another local firm with a 25% raise and good benefits. I was doing my due diligence and researching this company and saw on their Facebook page that they sponsor multiple “Trump Won” and “Health and Freedom” rallies with the myPillow guy. Calling on Monday to turn it down. Why would a firm publicly support something so crazy?? On to the next one!

Does anyone work primarily out of a coworking space like wework or regus? New job is 100% wfh when not traveling (which is about once a month) and wondering if this would be a good option, since I have a kid on the way and will be harder to WFH.
