Client: Well it’s a pitch, but not really, you got the job, but I need two more people to convince, help me make endless presentations and reviews to a ghost boss so you can get nothing in the end.
Hi fishes! To any fellow FP&A ladies in the room: Just joined an FP&A team with no prior FP&A experience... What makes a strong, high performing FP&A analyst? My background is in project management for finance, model governance and RRP consulting; graduated business administration, major in finance. Thanks!
I will be getting 3 months sabbatical break. I have pretty good experience in traditional etl and cloud. Now managing project where we will be getting ML based use cases.Want to master hands on ML or intermediate level data science skills. What areas of python I need to focus for data engineering and ML.
Are there going to be layoffs .....
What are the packages like at PwC if you are laid off. Is it 2 weeks per year? Negotiable? If you are getting laid off in the next few weeks do you get your bonus?
How is slalom compared to Accenture? Will probably have 0 travel until next year and wondering if it is still a better choice for work life balance. Since this project started last month, I am working 12 hours everyday and on weekends. I'm just analyst
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
Got laid off. Not completely unexpected but still stings. Everything on the table but difficult to decide path forward. Been doing this so long I never considered anything else. How do you prioritize?
Anyone else from EY not hearing back from any jobs they’ve applied to? I was not laid off but starting to look for a new job regardless. Not sure if it’s just me/my resume.
Hey Folks, If you are looking for job change we have the open positions in below skills at all levels, if you are interested please let me know. Company: Accenture Client: US based Telecom Giant All d best!
Was forced out of a firm after more than a decade last year. Started my own law firm. Today I got a new client who called my old firm and fired one of my ex colleagues to come with me and told them they were coming to my firm. The colleague and I were close, but this is business and I don’t feel bad. Although I have been acquiring unhappy clients of my old firm for a while now, this was the first who was on a current retainer with the former firm. Life is much better on my own. :)
Was going to give my two weeks notice in November. Found out today I am booked on a 3 week project across APAC.. so I try and stay a few more weeks? 😳
Struggling to 'fit in' sometimes when everyone on my project went to a top 25 school or liberal arts private school and they have never heard of my school.
If my firm mandates the vaccine and I don’t provide proof, do they have to pay me severance when they fire me? FULL DISCLOSURE: I’m vaccinated, I just don’t want to work here anymore and I would like some extra $$$ 😂😂😂😂
Hope to learn more if you bought an apt in Manhattan, or if you decided against it (renting/moving to upstate/Long Island/Jersey). My husband and I are considering to have a baby soon and are thinking of buying and living in Manhattan for the next 10 years or so (looking at property under $2M). Please share what you considered as you were making the decision - I hate throwing away rent but also don’t want to trap ourselves in significant financial obligations. Thanks!
Anybody in Cincy? Will be staffed on a long term project there... Looking for some recommendations or at least someone to drink with
Cool things you've done with your bonus
Anyone who got promoted did not get MA. The salary of a senior at the immediate lower level is almost equivalent to a just promoted person. E.g. salary of a senior A is around 10L, but of a just promoted AC is around 10.7 - 11. The salary of a 6 month AC is around 12.5L. The same type of gap is present at AC C layer, only magnified, differences going as far as 2L in a difference of 6 months. 1. How is this fair to promotees? "Treat people right"? 2. Are we really just gonna sit and accept this?
We have two directors on my project that don't like each other so they set up two different SharePoints where they share their information....They also use analysts on th the team to ask each cont....

When do PE firms find out about comp?
How much can one expect for a Senior Technical Platform Product Manager role in the Santa Clara Area? 8.5 Total YOE (3 years Engineering, 5.5 years in Tech Consulting) Based on online research - Base (160-180k) Total Comp (~200k). I do not want to ask for a number that puts them off but want to make sure I’m getting what I deserve. Suggestions?
Currently making around 95 and next year is promotion year. Interviewing with Amazon next week, what base salary range should I ask for?
Dear Amazing and incredible folk of fishbowl app, I received a HireVue interview for the 2022 New analyst position within Internal Audit at Goldman Sachs. I will be greatly obliged if you could please share your experiences and what kind of questions I should expect. Further, do you get do overs if you start to mess up an answer? I had applied to technology audit so how much should I be prepared to talk about auditing as a service? Once again any insights will go a long way. Thank you :)
My interview for an internship lasted over an hour. Good or bad sign? It was more of a conversation than anything...
Confession - I don't want to go back to office. I'm happy working from home and find no solid reason in stepping back. I hope the flexi work culture allows permanent WFH - I don't have a "good enough" reason, but I don't want to go (isn't this good enough?) It's been 1.5 years now, too comfortable to step out from my PJs to jeans.
