Q - sorry I missed your earlier post. Was your induction medically necessary or recommended due to COVID?
Q - how was labor with Pitocin? Was it as intense and painful as they tell you it would be?

Similar experience as PwC2 here. 40 weeks 10 days and pushed for 4 hours! Ugh. Who knows what would have been better but it’s great to know it works both ways. Congrats mama!

@Director, thank you for sharing your story and congrats on the new addition!!!. I’m 40 weeks this Friday (FTM) and weighing the options about induction sooner vs. waiting until next Friday which would be cut off date to induce. Today, I wasn’t dilated at all, so I’m just curious if there was a medical reason to induce sooner for you? Was there a risk of waiting? We are doing another US on Friday to re check position and estimated weight, but if I’m still not dilated, they will likely have me just wait.

We will see how US goes Friday... and then make a call from there..maybe baby will come in the meantime! 🤞🏼

She is beautiful! Congratulations!

I also went through an induction and so happy I did. No complications and was able to deliver vaginally with a tiny frame. My girl is now 9 months and thriving.

Congratulations!! I am 39 weeks tomorrow, doc appt Wednesday to check on progress. Weighing whether or not to schedule an induction if nothing is happening...had you progressed at all before induction?? My mom and sister both had slow reactions to petocin so am a little nervous

No, I was 0cm dilated when I went in. My mom had to be induced post-term with both me & my sister, which def factored into my decision.

What’s the proper adjective: “shitter” or “shittier”?
