I’d rather not. But I’m risk averse. And I love alone in a foreign country so I’d hate to bring back something to infect others, and also not have anyone to take care of me if I get sick.
I would go. Just wear a mask.
Where in China? For now any area outside of Wuhan or it’s province should be fine. Could change so just keep an eye out. I’m heading to Guangzhou in a few days so I can give you an update on what I see
Lmao. But yeah not worth going at this point. Besides the risk of getting sick is being quarantined. Plus not gonna be fun with everyone afraid of going outside and shops closed
There’s only going to be like four people left by then...
Maybe it will get worse, but they’ve already shut down the town at the center of the outbreak, there are less than 1k confirmed cases, and of those there is only one that may have been passed from human to human. I think the facts are a lot lore helpful than others thoughts.
They have now quarantined 3 cities that I am aware of, and the virus is now present in almost every province of China. The confirmed cases reported by the Chinese gov is at approx 600, but it is like the gov is intentionally under reporting, and that it is likely that there are currently more than 1,300 cases. Also, this has developed incredibly rapidly, in the past week
As a national security consultant, I would say no. The epidemics of this nature tend to carry on for a decent amount of time if they are not contained from the beginning, which this one is not.
Given the recent developments, for sure don’t go to China anytime soon!
Maybe check CDC or WHO website instead of a bunch of less qualified consultants googling their answers?
Just curious about others thoughts. Definitely still a fluid situation that is changing by the day. But seems like it is going to get worse before it gets better
