I think the meaning of that meme is the whole "big three" thing of KPMG wanting to be taken seriously.

Historically KPMG has had the lowest turnover rate among the Big4. I think I remember hearing that this was true in 4 of the last 5 years. Recently the firm has lost a few audit clients (small but noticeable amount) thanks to some high-profile audit hiccups over the past three years or so. But, thanks to the beauty of American independence requirements, a lost audit client typically means a gained tax and/or advisory client. This is evidenced by the fact that 2018 growth was on par with PwC and EY (around 7%), though Deloitte knocked us all out of the water. In conclusion, people aren’t rushing to leave the firm. However, a few offices are seeing shifts in the nature work that they do. To get out of the spotlight we just have to wait things out until one of the other firms makes a big mistake (which they all have historically done and will continue to do).

Not sure Deloitte is an accounting firm anymore, more than 50% of their revenue is from consulting. Probably also makes them the most profitable.

Left DT to come to KPMG a few years ago and glad I did. Culture so more friendlier but still great clients and work. Really depends on your office and function as to what it is like - focus on that v the Firm level stuff. KPMG Tax is doing well and a nicer place to work in my experience. OP - don’t panic, just gather facts and understand situation in group you would be in

Too many changes in leadership, made too quickly, that were believed could fix foundational issues.

I think more people are leaving audit and advisory in general. PwC is having a higher than normal rate of people leaving too
