If I have 21 RSUs vesting may 21 but another job offer (not from a FAANG but from a Series D SaaS), could I ask new company to “buy out” my RSUs? I love my partner but he’s not that into sex and it’s frankly not that great because he’s gained a lot of weight and doesn’t want to change his diet or exercise. I have been in sales even before college. I'm reaching a burn out. I feel like the expectations get higher the more work I put in and that ends with me putting on many hats to get done. I can't catch a break, let alone allowed a decent vacation without having to negotiate based on performance. I honestly don't want to be in sales forever. I'm versatile when it comes to any tasks due to the nature of wearing many hats. Any suggestions?

Recently 1 of my clients initiated open PTO policy. The transition from set leave balance to open was smooth process. However we are running into dilemma of how we standardize different types of leaves and whether there will be a limitation to how much open PTO is used at one time. For leisure, we just limit taking two weeks max at one time. However if we have volunteer policy or bereavement policy how should we standardize it? If EE is out for longterm sick, how do we standardize time paid?

I work in clinical research and I’m under consideration to work for another research facility; however I hesitate because it’s a consulting position that can turn to permanent. It’s a huge pay increase (8-10 more) with benefits, PTO, etc. Any thoughts about consulting or temp-to-permanent jobs?

I have a contingent offer after being laid off in spring due to COVID. Since then the job market has obviously been tough, so a few buddies and I started a start up that has done very well, but we haven’t filed for LLC status yet (keeps pushing back). We have ~10 guys working on various areas. I just received an offer back in my usual industry, and have been truthful in my experiences. My parents have off the books debt with some people I don't know. They are in a "payment plan" that brings their balance to 0 by 2023. AFAIK it's not a life threatening situation. I've made the conscious choice not to see them until the debt is paid. Asking for opinions on what others would do in this situation. Historically I've already helped them pay a sum of 20-30k the past 10 years. And I made this "selfish" choice so I can start financially planning for my own life.
Should I realistically be worried if my background check will be totally clean but I have a low credit score? Would this cause a company to rescind my offer?
