how do you find a mentor in this industry? help.
Hey everyone,
Software engineer with 2.5 YOE here. I applied to the Software Engineer with Amazon Music position and got through the first automatic filter and now have to take the coding challenge, work simulation and work style survey. Does anyone have any tips?
Also, how is the WLB and the team at Amazon Music? It is remote since it’s a virtual position I am assuming.

At this point you’re just humble-bragging. Go get that bag homie
For an M?
That 31% is just your max. More likely to be around 15-20.
Nay, there's probably someone else making more
Nah it’s low… anything less than 405k and 40% bonus is kinda low comp for a place like Pittsburgh
YOE.. for City like Pittsburgh.. Sounds great.
Assuming it’s for M and for pitts it sounds like a great offer.

Okay, I'll play although you don't really want us to.
Nay, assuming its for MD level.
What's the position you are getting? Is this for an M role?
It's okay relative to D for an M role. I negotiated for same base and bonus max maybe 3 years ago with D as an M1. Looking at recurring revenue and applying 30% bonus, you'd be about $135/hr for 2000 hours. You'll probably do about 2250 hours just for client work if you are 85% utilized. Then you'll probably need to do another 250 hours per year for internal initiatives to get you to 25%+ bonus.
Oh gosh! Another humble brag.
Congrats lol
Curious how and your background though
