I’m actively looking for a job change in Automation Testing domain. Currently working as Automation Test Engineer II.

Total Experience: 3.6 Years
Technologies worked on so far: Selenium with Java, Python, Playwright with Javascript, AWS platform and it’s testing.
What I am willing to offer? - Learn any new technology for Automation testing. Utilise & upgrade existing knowledge on testing technologies in order to contribute to the project.

Haven’t gotten a raise in two years and I’m not happy at my current firm (we’re understaffed and overworked) but I’m planning on studying an LLM abroad. Any suggestions as to how to cope with the situation? I don’t want to look for another job if I’m leaving the country soon (that is if corona doesn’t have other plans).

Got let go after completing PIP (got put on PIP after catching Covid and taking a few sick days to recover while coworkers worked when sick) and was asked by HR to sign a Separation agreement that included keeping sign on bonus, a small stipend (few thousand), and next month’s health insurance, but that I cannot sue them for wrongful termination. Employment lawyers ask for money to review the agreement. Do I pay to review the agreement or sign even though it felt like wrongful termination?

I have 20+ yoe and MBA. Had a pretty rough time getting into private industry after the MBA, partly because of my public sector background. The only role that I got was a Manager in consulting, while my classmates left for SM and MD roles. But, after 4 years in consulting, and interviewing with other consulting firms, I am still being directed to the Manager role by recruiters. Reason: We hire only at that level. But, my classmates are joining the same firm as MD. Am I underselling my skills?

How would you prepare for an interview with the CFO of a company?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
