Recently moved in-house and struggling with how to document my contributions (keep a “brag list” if you will) for purposes of review season and eventual bonus/promotion/raise discussions. At a firm it was fairly easy to point to high billables, high profile deals, praise from particular partners or clients. Now I’m struggling because my work is so….day to day. Mostly negotiating typical sales contracts. Very few opportunities for visibility or high profile contributions if that makes sense.

Positions get put on hold all the time. Very common in my experience. Although it is possible after he saw your resume he no longer felt you were the right fit.
I’m sorry that happened to you and it could have better been handled. Perhaps something on your resume was a deal breaker for the role and the recruiter could have politely let you know that they did not want to waste your time. I’d follow up and make certain they know not to send your resume anywhere else without your approval. I can’t tell you how many candidates I have worked with who released their resume to a recruiting agency - not saying the name(s) - who fish for resumes and blast to every online post and call you if something “sticks”.
I went through final interviews in house for a truly perfect job, only to get a call from the recruiter three weeks later telling me the job had been canceled because of 4th quarter finances. Banking industry, it’s pretty common apparently.
