Relatively early in my career trying to find the right career path. I have aspirations (like many) to join the executive leadership team, EVP/C-Suite. Currently in analytics but driving strategy and creating ideas with numbers. Very skilled at it, but seemingly all roads lead to "lead analyst" type roles. Do I need to switch to Product Management to succeed in banking and join the executive staff, or is it possible to jump to leadership from a data role?

So so tired of always being the odd one out. My firm isn't even bad or anything I'm literally just exhausted from constant code-switching and never seeing a face like mine in the office unless they're a client. Seriously considering looking for somewhere with leadership that is significantly more diverse. Is anyone experiencing a reduction of billable hours due to less assignments?

Does anyone stress about student loans? I have $176k in loans and as January gets closer, the panic attacks have gotten worser. I am in-house at a Real Estate company (making $90k), which is terrible bc they are going under due to the market. I am working to transition to big law for pay, job security and more technical skills. I am a 2019 grad and it just seems so hard to break into big law.

I think the take that "people only started to cancel Kanye when he was anti-semitic" is ridiculous. The only reason he's actually losing deals and contracts now is MONEY. After he made the anti-semitic comments Adidas stock dropped 17% lmao. People complained and stopped supporting him on a small scale before he made those comments, but I think we (I'm Black) should have put our money where our mouths were instead and not given him a pass for so long.

The partner I work for keeps calling me her name. For ex: my name is “Sara” and her name is “Jasmine”. Names not similar, we don’t look alike - but I suppose we are about the same complexion. I can’t help but think it’s because we’re the only two black juniors. I was granting her grace because my mom accidentally calls me my sisters name and stuff, I get that it happens. But now it’s becoming a microagression. Advice?
