What is it about??

Just watched the trailer. I feel like I’m increasingly alone in this, but for a topic as nuanced as the “implicit bias behind how personality test-based candidate selection can unfairly affect job applicants,” I’d honesty rather just read a research paper with the findings and recommendations. The fact that a sensationalized documentary is covering the topic almost seems to discredit what is actually probably a very real problem with realistic mitigation options as well. Do people watch this primarily for education or entertainment?

I agree with D2. My experience with MBTI is very intimate. I’m 21. As a kid, my mum utilized the MBTI when I was 10 and periodically checked the change in my personality. She used it for her team back at work and applied the same at home.

Long story story, I was a very extroverted kid and my mum was the introverted, no nonsense lady. Similarly, with my brother, he was an introvert. As our personalities changed, she’d adjust her parenting style on us and ensure that everything was optimal for our respective personalities. Fast forward now, I am really grateful for how the MBTI test was used in my developmental phase. CNN’s documentary is kinda skewed and idk, it’s a bleh.

Where's the data to support that MBTI isn't a total work of fiction? Went looking for it after watching. There's a broad assumption it's scientific.

Thanks for the rec
