How do I learn how to interact with clients? Like advice for someone in sell side sales? Anyone know any good books or other resources? I found this video and I want to learn more tips like this: http://www.cnbc.com/2015/01/14/master-class-entertaining-wall-street-clients-commentary.html
what’s the most you’ve spent on brunch 🤣
I still think about you 😬

So when you're asked to do something, just say "Id love to help. Realistically, to do a good job with this I won't be able to get it back to you until X. Does this work? If not, it might be better to find someone else to help with this ask"
🙅🙅🙅
At work. Too many people want me to do heavy lifts for them and it is in my interest to say yes, but I am in over my head and it is starting to negatively impact my health and relationship with my husband
Thanks, B1. Yeah, I feel like I need ten more versions of saying that. The other thing is is that these are legit very good opportunities that I spent the last two years fighting to get. Either way, I have decided that I need to say NO to any big or small ask beyond my regular work for at least the next two months. This has just gotten to be too much.
Yeah, I should clarify that there were a few people to whom I was I indebted. These tasks always balloon. It is the classic no good dees goes unpunished thing
I think I already answered that. In the spirit of saying no to unnecessary work, please refer to my post above.
Get yourself organized and offer a realistic timeline for your help based on personal and professional goals/obligations - can be helpful to think of your personal goals as "real" e.g., you can't support over a wknd if it means cancelling a date/hike/trip bc you honor your relationship and you're not able (willing) to subordinate everything else for the big D. I tell coachees that the firm will take everything you can give and remain hungry for more of your contributions so you better set some boundaries.
Sigh, yeah...
In work or personal life or what?
So, re-phrase, how do I manage expectations for things that I want to say yes to, but don't have the bandwidth to act on right now?
Thanks, M1
Second the deadline approach. Tell them when you can get it done before they tell you when they need it by, even if it's pretty far in the future.
