Also make sure your diet and hydration are in check. You need to be firing on all cylinders if you want to train hard on the regular.

Your body needs rest. You don’t build muscle in the gym - you do it through recovery (sleep and fuel). If you are not allowing your body sufficient time to recover and repair, you’ll not get the gains you want.

Mental and physical burnout don’t advance progress.

I had a physical recently and everything was fine, except I am low on vit B and have been taking a supplement. I am pretty stressed, though I’m definitely not depressed. I can’t figure out why I want to take a nap every day around 2 pm.

Last week my dog was officially diagnosed with cancer. She’s going to be 13, the cancer isn’t curable. She’s my first dog. I’ve tried working from coffee shops, etc, but it doesn’t seem to help. These people aren’t my colleagues. So I’m around people but don’t interact with them. Has anyone else experienced this ? Went too hard at the gym thinking I was still 24 years old (narrator: he is not). Pretty sure I have either a herniated disc or pinched nerve in upper back/neck. Fairly substantial pain that doesn’t seem to relent much. Anyone deal with this? Did you see doc, chiro, PT?
