Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

TCS Hiring Process. I was selected for a role in TCS and was due to join on July 2021. I never joined because the offer was too low and my current company promoted and equalised the pay. Now I have been selected again for TCS for Lead role in August 2022. However HR team pointed out that there is a duplicate for my name. My question is if there is any hindrance due to past rejection of offer. Would the HR team help in going ahead with candidature or would reject straight? IBM Tata Consultancy

Easy. Leave for dream company
You’re going to regret passing up the dream company role far harder than taking it and risking not liking it. The doubt of not knowing if the dream could be real will just eat you up.
It’s a dream company for a reason. Not many of us get the opportunity to follow our dreams
Company 1 willing to match my consulting salary. The boss there really wants me. But I feel I won't learn much. But my dream company is 25-30% lower pay. Somehow I feel I can transition to better roles and grow in my dream company. SO thinks I am crazy. But I have applied for 8 different roles in the dream company and been refused before. Somehow cannot give up. Am I normal ?
Is it a dream company or a dream role? I really don't understand the concept of a dream company. Maybe because I've worked or been a consultant at some of these companies people consider amazing, and they're just like all the others except with a few extra goodies that you forget after a month.
I had the same thinking as you. F**k it. Go for your dream company! Don't make the same mistake I did! A year down the road it wouldn't even matter.
What's so great about this company?
If you can still eat and save why not. However I used to like cars and wanted to work for a manufacturer. But now I can basically buy and non exotic car I want. And I have worked at senior levels of several of these firms So...
I totally did that few years back. Left consulting, got an offer from a boring company that matched my salary, and then suddenly got a call from my dream company which offered 30% less. Within 24 hrs, I made my mind to go to my dream company. The first year was amazing. I loved the role, and the team, and most of the time I was OK with the salary.
2 years later, I ended with a sh*** boss, in a boring role. Now I couldn't stand being THAT underpaid. After another year of struggle, I came back to consulting.
But my first year at the dream company was dreamy :)
Tell your SO there's more to life than money, sheez
Agreed ^ go dream company route and be explicitly clear and honest with current company. Consulting will literally always be there. Dream roles in dream companies may not. Also! See if there is any option to consult for dream company on the side. Kinda random, but just a suggestion
Go for the dream company. If you are engaged and excited about your work you’ll perform much better than if you’re not (not to mention your overall happinesses)
Dream company if I could still get by with the pay cut
This happens in the very first month of joining this place. What would you do ?
Is it ethical to leave in month 1? Will this affect your relationship with people who recommended you to the role?
I agree with C2. If the role is something you think you'll like and enjoy totally go for it. But don't fall for the glitz of the brand. But then again if you say it's easy enough to transition to a role you will like then that might be something to consider.
It's a dream company in a very similar role as the one I am in now. I want to switch roles later but it will be so much easier there . So it's the same role in a dream company
