Does anyone else experience this - no matter what you do, the client isn’t happy? How do you stay motivated? I always review with my leads before presenting recommendations to the client to get sign off/feedback. I’ve been rated a top performer / received great feedback from 5 years of other clients and internal teams, so I don’t think it’s that I’m slacking
I should stop day drinking, 2020 broke me. Between this project, Covid and trying to adult and date.
Finished a 9m project where the workstream I was on was busy the whole time, but client scrapped our work at month 8, but we still ended up finishing... it's like we might as done nothing for 8 months

Could anyone please help me guide which is better to join. As in Accenture I am told that I will have to work in 2-11 shift where I will be getting 10k extra. I am sick and tired of a male subordinate bossing me and other team members around, acting like he owns the whole project, deliverables, me and other team members. Project Director chooses not to do anything about it. Any tips on how to deal with that asshole on a daily basis?
How is the wlb in ey considering Morgan Stanley as client? Skill set : Java and springboot .
Found out today the slide master we use from the client was from the previous BCG team (we are implementation). Looked at the doc owner and the original doc owner from years back was McKinsey!
When you know the Partner is putting lipstick on a pig when telling you why you should be staffing on her/his project, but you’re still kinda curious
Awkward Questions from Client: So you're out of CO right, do you smoke weed? ... No, and not appropriate in the middle of a meeting
My firm is virtual - all work done remotely in home office unless on client site. Haven’t traveled since mid October. It’s driving me nuts. What do you recommend doing?
When the client presents your idea as their own.
Regional model - do they actually hold you to that during staffing? My project team seems to be from all over but didn’t know if this was unique.
Took a freelance writing gig with a big agency, went through several rounds of work. Now, getting radio silence from the producer as they are “waiting on client feedback”. (Cont’d)
How do I get my old project to leave me alone? I rolled off, but they keep calling me in for little things. My new project leads are okay with it for now, but I want it to end. What to do?
Now client slide and got given a draft report from a popular consulting firm to review. First slide of actual content ive got over 15 text boxes with comments. I've become 'that' client.

Director on project calls in our order for sushi pickup today and starts rattling off the rolls he wants to get. After he's finished Partner on engagement tells him he dialed the wrong number.😂😂😂😗
The client was really blown away and impressed by our presentation today. Looking forward to Monday when their feedback email politely kills all of the ideas.
Can anyone tell me about Deloitte’s DCE departmental culture? I am interviewing with them so any insight is appreciate...
Little bit miserable in my current role and wondering if the grass is greener. I work exclusively on commercial due diligence projects, and want to know if my hours are typical: Monday - Thursday: 9am - ~midnight, Friday: 9-5, weekends totally off. Is this typical or does my group have unusually tough hours?
I recently left the bank channel and went Indy, I’ve been successful at moving clients and assets over and am just getting started. A former bank advisor colleague has show interest in partnering up. For comparison purposes our AUM and production numbers were comparable. I did more fee based business while he did more VA and insurance business but we both have a fairly balanced product mix. What are thoughts on forming a new partnership? What should I be thinking about while having discussions?
What are your thoughts on the insurance industry? I just got an offer for $10k more than what my senior makes and he’s been with the firm for 6 years. I just don’t want to pigeonhole myself
How do I tell a fellow colleague, mgr and a friend that he needs to start developing work products and not only just review & provide feedback? Promotion to mgr doesn't mean no work by self at all....
When traveling and out to dinner with your team, do y’all continue to talk about your project and work? I feel like that’s all we talk about, even on our personal time.
New to comp. C here, my senior just took credit over my work on a meeting with our higher ups. Is this common? What should I do?

In years you don’t make your bonus, what do your billable hours typically look like? Are you missing it by a hair or is it normal to have some years where you’re only billing 1600? I just finished my first year and trying to figure out what a “normal” slow year looks like compared to a pandemic slow year.
What are the insurance rates like at the like of Deloitte, Accenture, etc compared to Tricare Reserve Select in the Guard/Reserves? Trying to decide if staying Guard/Reserve is worth it.

Currently working at Accenture as a C (promoted Dec ‘19), but I know I ultimately want to make the jump over to Deloitte. I am on track to be promoted to M in the 2021 promo cycle and I know Deloitte would likely knock me down one level either way. Due to COVID-19, it seems like it doesn’t make sense to jump ship for at least another year while things get back to normal. Any thoughts on if it’s better to wait it out and leave after making M (but how long after?) or try to leave earlier? TIA
Does your firm reimburse mileage related to driving into the office to work overtime on a weekend? EY does, how about the other firms?
What is your hourly rate? Since, I’m 95% fee based. I don’t have an hourly rate for consultations or FP reviews. I was recently asked, what my hourly rate is for advising . Didn’t have an answer.
