Looking for advice for interviewing at Amazon for a senior machine learning engineer position. I have worked at startups for my career (which I am relatively early in), and have not interviewed with a FAANG company before so I don’t know what to expect going in to this. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi guys,
I'm lucky I landed C jobs at BCG and Bain in Doha. Please, I need your opinion on the below

1.BCG is T1 in the region while Bain doesn't seem so. Do you confirm? And the trend?

2.Interviews/negotiations went great with Bain vs BCG more acrimonious. Does my experience reflect structural cultural differences (pressure, up or out, cutthroat)?

Just scheduled a meeting to go over an offer for a Senior Engineer role. When asked what I would need to make in order to leave my current job, I said at least $160k depending on benefits (I know I shouldn't have given a number).

I make a little over $145k now, plus stock options, a monthly home office stipend (fully remote), and your usual health benefits.

Assuming their benefits are comparable to my current position, have I given up all negotiation power by providing the initial number?

People who work in any engineering capacity are usually very hardworking but it's not just because we have to be, it's also that we find this stuff really fascinating, kind of like a book you can't put down
