Which company would you join?
I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).
I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.
Help!

Assuming become an AE is your goal, make sure you nail down a realistic timeline with your upper leadership, and hold both you and them accountable to the goals you set.
If you are looking for a fast-tracked path, turn to startups. I know Verkada, Okta and a few others have an “associate account executive” program that trains you and puts you in the hot seat for 6 months to come out as a solid AE. Essentially an SDR, but with a solid timeline set out
80k OTE isn’t bad and if you’re doing 200% that’s good money for only 1 year as an SDR. Make sure there is a career path and you know what is expected of you but don’t rush it. It takes time to learn all the shit you learn as an SDR.
