I followed this exact same process yesterday and it worked for me
Awesome!! Glad it worked for you!! Pass on the message!
NYC city site has been dropping next day slots around 8pm in the evening, I got one!
You can refresh without having to re enter you information by changing your zip code
This is when their phone banks log off and their allocation gets re-added to the pool
Tips below:
1. Go to https://www.cvs.com/vaccine/intake/store/covid-screener/covid-qns
2. Vaccines drop at 12 am and you have to do it at 12 am because they are gone by 12:05 am. If you miss it, the next drop after that is 12:30am, 1 am and 1:30 am.
3. Make sure you refresh exactly at 12 or 12:01am (or 12:30, 1 am, etc.), because it will be gone in 5 min.
4. Type New York, NY instead of your zip code. It will give you more options, and click on “see more” as there sometimes are better locations hidden
5. Click on a time that’s in the middle of the pack instead of in the morning (first availability) or evening (last availability) bc those are always the ones that get picked up first and you risk hitting an error
6. Appointments are for 5 days out. So if you booked tonight (Thursday night / Friday AM at midnight), you would see appointments availability for Tuesday
7. Have your insurance card and prescription card details ready
8. Don’t bother wasting all your day refreshing Turbovax, NYCvaxfinder ... those appointments are never available, and even when available, have never worked for me. With CVS I have seen availability and ability to book the appointments every single time when following the tips above.

Let the games continue. BEST OF LUCK.
I used TurboVax and got my appointments as CVS in Inwood.
Thousand of appts just dropped on the NY state sites
+1 for this. I was able to get my parents their appointments last week and get one for myself this week on the CVS website.
Wahoo! Please pass on this message!
Thank you OP!!!! I just got my appointments
Another route... call this number (877) 208-8318. It’s for a site in Bedstuy. I scheduled on Tuesday and got an appointment for yesterday am. It was really efficient and well run.
It’s at the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation. 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11216
State sites add cancellations back exactly on the 5 min mark, if you fill the captcha and wait till 4 min 59 seconds and can be fast(or set up an auto clicker) you can get quick appts.

Update: I got my Pfizer vaccine at CVS today (86th and 2nd) following the tips I shared above for scheduling the appointment. The process was really organized and straightforward.
1.When you arrive, you are asked to “check in” at the entrance and fill out a simple form including your birth date and questions about your medical history.
2. Once the form was complete, they asked me to go to the pharmacy area where I was given a vaccine card and to confirm my appointment time. While I did bring my insurance info and proof of residency, I did not have to show my ID or any documents (I still have a NJ drivers license though I live in NYC). It appeared that they were matching the info I provided with what they had on their tablet/in their system.
3) The shot took 2 minutes. Once I was done, I was ushered to the side where I needed to wait for 15 min before they released me. Right now the only symptoms I feel is some soreness.
Hoping you all are benefiting from the tips / advice shared in this thread. Stay well!

This worked outside of NY too. Finally landed an appointment for my immunocompromised family member in another stare. One tip: sometimes states take a while to update at midnight; find another that has, then immediately change the location search to your target area (ie click on NY as if you’ll make an appointment the change the address field to MD or whatever).
Thank you!!!
Used this for tonight when 16+ went live. Can’t thank you enough for the tips! Getting vaccinated Saturday!

BA1 - they drop every 30 min. So if by 12:05 or 12:35 they are out, try again at 1 am or 1:30 am. If you follow my tips exactly, you should be able to get an appointment.

Thank you Op!
For LIC / Astoria I recommend the Floating Hospital - called yesterday and got an appointment for today! (718) 361 6266

Thanks just called and got an appt!
Thanks for posting this!
I will also add that if you’re willing and able to travel just a bit outside of the city you may have better luck, too. I was able to get an appointment next week at a CVS in Westchester pretty easily, without being a keyboard warrior at midnight.
I signed up on Twitter yesterday and follow these 5 accounts. Do the same and you will get a vaccine by tomorrow.
Got J&J today and feel amazing!
This subreddit has also been a great source of info with tips for booking appointments and sharing what to expect pre-/post-vaccine.
Thank you! Just got my appointment for Apr 7

When you say refresh, do you mean press the red circular arrow to refresh the locations or refresh the actual URL
Pro
Refresh locations. If you refresh URL you will need to fill out the forms again.

This worked for me!! Thank you so much!
Vaccinefinder said my location has Pfizer, but when I scheduled the second dose, it defaulted to 28 days later (instead of 3 weeks), making me think it’s actually moderna. Did anyone have something similar happen? Don’t actually mind — just happy to get a vaccine — but curious.

Never mind! Was able to answer my own question — if this happens to anyway else: the answer is Walgreens is blanket scheduling all Pfizer and moderna dose 2 shots for 28 days later because they do stock both products. You can move your Pfizer dose 2 appt up if you’re eager, but waiting 28 vs 21 days doesn’t make a difference in its efficacy.
