"Your driving force is your asset", my boss tells me. But some of my colleagues have hard time respecting my driving force and wants to shut me down instead. I have hard time not to speak up during discussions with colleagues when I get attacked personally, but somehow it ends up being my fault when someone's feelings get hurt.

Am I wrong to think that I am not going to accept the way some colleagues talks to me, but instead just nod and be silent in situations I personally get attacked on?

Don’t care what they think. I am in similar situation where my boss feels threatened by my drive and finds every chance he can to put me down in front of the group but you know what other people rely on you and your knowledge and you thoughts so for people who doesn’t like it are more just jealous that they cannot shine as you do!

One thing I've learned is that your choice of words are super important regardless of who's at fault whether it be verbal or written communication. This may suck but how you say things can be used against you even when you are well intended.

You need a team-a few folks who back you up. And so think about your tone and word choices. Women get judged more harshly. Humor can help.

Don’t beta for toxic peers.
An “aw babe you’re so cute” goes a long way.
“Lol you’re funny.”
“Are you okay? How are you feeling? Here for you friend.”
“Hate to see you sulk like this. Do you want to talk about your feelings?”
Then check your watch and check out.

Hanlon’s Razor - shut down swiftly and let it roll off you.

Hi 🐠, need your help/suggestions. We moved into our new townhouse 4 months ago and I’ve been noticing a car parked outside with 3-4 (young folks) people sitting in it for past 3-4 weeks. Today they took it to another level when someone from that group was peeing right in front of my backyard. When I was about to talk to them they left in a hurry. What should be doing? I’m first time homeowner so want to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong

Hi, I need your honest opinion on this. Currently I have done AWS cloud practitioner certificate and want to progress but I don't think to like Solution Architect that much, I feel it will be boring for me. I love to create things, and love data manipulation, so I found this course in Google data engineer + AI... I feel it might be good fit for me. What do you think about it. Am looking for something I can study and stick with it long run. Thanks 😊.
