Hey it wouldn’t be a prediction if there weren’t some possibility of being wrong. This one still seems pretty likely to me
Strangely enough, softwares/dashboards with built-in AI/ML routines democratize such knowledge. As adoption grows, more will dig deeper, and will realize software/dashboards alone isn't enough. People need that statistical background to build something better - sometimes outside the constraints of these softwares & dashboards. Within marketing, the walled gardens will go higher (clean data rooms will become a thing) and cross channel analytics will be more reliant on such predictive analysis. So, standards will be raised for data science, data ops, and anything mildly related to data. 2021 already looks exciting.
I think your time horizon is too short for most organizations. I don't think most have even got to good BI & analytics yet, let alone advanced analytics. That's besides the tech players.

There are at least 2 new more transmissible COVID strains identified and although it is not more lethal than original COVID, it is easier to catch, so by default it more lethal because of infection rate. My predictions for 2021- more COVID related deaths.
