How do you approach your boss about another offer you have? The offer is more money and better benefits but the commute is terrible. Is there a way to approach him about it without getting into trouble and/or fired?

As per my communication with the team, once a week we need to work from office.
Can anyone tell me if Barclays can allow WFH or instead of once every week can we work for one entire week and then take WFH for next month?

In that 16 lpa I earned 1.5 joining bonus.
But when comes to paying tax - total I need to pay nearly 1.6 lpa..
Finally no use of getting better CTC offer.

Note :- person who struggles for a day earns 16lacs - after deducting the tax he earns 14.5 lpa
When other colleague who enjoys daily and work for 5hrs/day he earn 14 lpa - but no need to pay tax at all.he was gaining all benefItsby old regime

Trying to exit into FAANG but know it may be a long shot involving a handful of rejections. Meanwhile got approached by a number of recruiters for a) smaller emerging startup <but need to shift geo>, and b) major banks for in-house strategy. I’ll proceed with interviews with a) since it will give me a flavour of tech recruiting, but should I even go through with interview process for b)? Thoughts? Fyi, have not interviewed in 4+ years!

Currently have the FRM title.
I failed CFA level 3 once.

I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.

While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.

After getting offer letter from TCS I had given a tentative joining date and was asked to communicate if I get early release from my current organisation . But I could not get an early release and hence I will be joining on the given date which is April last week . Meanwhile BGC was initiated and that’s been more than a month . & Went in job search market to correct myself wrt salary & designation. I was mainly looking out for salary, work life balance & growth, which offer to choose??

What kind of mindset do people have when they decide to leave their parents for study/work opportunities? How do you rationalise because sometimes parents depend on you something as basic as getting something from the top shelf. People from tier 2/3 cities moving abroad to better cities is understandable to a certain point but what about those in big metropolitan cities and still moving.
